This discution is almost turning into a Capitalism / Comunism debate some people think the best way to achieve teamwork is to remove all the individual gratification and goals and some think the individual way is better.
In almost situation in PR to get kills you need teamwork especialy CAS and if you are greedy and you want kills you need to have a spotter comunicate with ground forces and comanders on mumble to get the intel and finally get your kills and those kill will help your team, motivate your self and your squad. And if im still write PR is still about tickets and to win you need kills.
For me KILLS make me play as team because i want more and the best ratio possible
i want Kills ==> i need Teamwork ===> More kills

If we removed the kill counter, would we see less lone wolf snipers in the mountains of Muttrah?

Thumb up.
And (answering to Smurf about the cheaters at the same time) imo, it would make cheaters leave as well. Because cheaters are actually what I described in my last post at an extreme point. So it means that without kill counts, they'll feel harmless and wont see any utility of staying and farming.

Exactly. We need an adult forum for this.

You are correct if your kills help the team advance to the flag. You could be getting "kills" on a flag out of play and and not help advance the team 5 meters. See this all the time.
Take away the binocks and remove kill/death screen until round end. And watch them all go back to BF3/COD to get their killz n' shit fix.

I respectfully disagree with OP and don't see why threads like this get approved for view while my APC anti-cheese suggestion doesn't.

Well in PR:Vietnam or on Goose Green moving up 5 meters almost means victory

change deviation, remove ladder sliding, tweak normandy minimod, try to figure out ways to prevent basecamping, make FOBs use Team Tickets and that you can unpack them so you can save tickets, and make rally points more useful
Also, little bird back, PLEASE, and maybe the US army AH-64 Apache back too
Little Bird have been replace by OH-58D Kiowa since only the 160th SAR use little bird, and as far as i know, AH-64D is still ingame for US Army.

Remove Fast Ropes.
Wait a sec...
The mod's Realism-Arcade-Teamwork blend is what makes it good.
Take one out and it won't be the same. Arcade within reason, and realism and teamwork the highest priority.
Keep kills there. People play games as an escape from life (1 hour/2 hour) as long as you can control the times, so why should it be realistic in a sense we aren't playing a game, but instead a military simulation?
There's a fine balance between realism and military simulation. It's ultimately up to the Dev's to consider your suggestion because they love us, aka the people who play this mod, and you too but they don't want to screw their game which will screw up the people's love for the gameplay ultimately like saying no fobs, or no rallypoints. Because it falls short in debate as not much people will support it. You are more than welcome to bring up ideas and debate about it, but FOB's and rally points are needed. If your team is loosing, don't blame the FOB's. Blame the people in your team and the lack of communication, co-operation and seriousness.
PR's goal is Realism and Team-Work, and take out the **** featured in vanilla bf2 like:
-Dolphin Diving
-Shitty Hit Detection System
-The ability to drive enemy vehicles
etc and balance the game while giving things new thanks to brilliant and legendary work from coders, mappers, contributers, modellers, sound makers, volunteers, admins, service managers, textures/uv mappers, community idea makers, scripters, testers, music makers, site maintainers, donators, players past and present and future!
*Sheds a manly tear*
AAAnd everyone on this topic goes quiet because the awkward poster with arab as a name and insane posts tries to join in a topic for fun.
Now I'm really depressed.

Isn't increased focus on in-game damage-info somewhat arcade game-play? What about the fog of war, using your imagination, intuition and feelings, isn't that were most of the PR challenge should be located?

cool gaming.
WWK should be the ultimate goal for the artistic expression of Project Reality game-play. No doubt on that account. Ultimate planning challenge too

Ever played vanilla bf, bf2 of cod(latest releases at least)? You know when you hit someone because of the additional lines popping around your crosshair.

Whoa remove kill counter what? Hell no, like that dude said we all got egos to feed and if people assuming ticket count based on the kill count is the only reason its a bad one. They removed any kind of stats keeping and stuff at least keep the ability to look at my damn score after 1 round. It's forgotten by the next few anyway.
People can't assume tickets based on the kill count anyway, not accurately at least, they will be mistaken by about 20-70 tickets because of all the other factors...

Most people who ask for one thing or another to be nerfed are people who simply get killed by it too much and instead of adjusting their style of play to combat it are simply asking for "god" to pull it out of the sky. essentially the same as praying that you won't get mosquito bites instead of putting up a mosquito net or using repellent.
unless that person provides a well thought out analysis on why an item needs to be nerfed, pay them no attention. same as the people who cry about campers, same as the snipers who complain about being out gunned by ARs.
