Still, after having participated in 200 player events, it's still somewhat of a slap in the faceDarman1138 wrote:Still a step up from 32vs32![]()
A limit that was never supposed to be passed? You think it's a slap in the face because the unpassable limit wasn't passed by enough? That's pretty low, I'd just go and congratulate the DEV team on their excellent work in doing what most said was impossible. 200 players made all servers very unstable, if you will remember back to those 200 player events, there was RARELY a round that finished without crashing mid game.Brainlaag wrote:Still, after having participated in 200 player events, it's still somewhat of a slap in the face![]()
Well hopefully they've improved it over the last year-and-a-half-or-so.PricelineNegotiator wrote:128 players won't do anything because it's broken in so many different ways.
From what I recall, the instability was hardly related to the amount of players (if you had the server for it), crashes with 100 players occurred just as much as with 150 or more players (they were related to the code, not by an overload due to the amout of ppl. This might have changed, since I have no idea what Bloody did with "his" code). The thing that annoys me, is that the DEVs stated they won't allow numbers above 100, not even for special events.nater wrote:A limit that was never supposed to be passed?
