(because they're working on a stand-alone game)

I guess they'll have to find Japanese voices whitin the PR community, a few Japanese players could volunteer for such task, would be awesome really!

It's that or they can consider using 1942's voices, yes some are lacking, basic commands are covered though, however some such as "A vehicle is on the way" or "demolitions needed here" are missing, in-game they will just show up the message without voices. If you ask me, I would use these voices right away untill replaced with a full set of voices.

I would really love to see the Pacific Theater in PR

This may be a dumb question, but why are other communities so reluctant to share? It doesnt really seem like any harm could come of it, so what gives?

Community pressure due to the "rivalry" between PR and other mods.

Because if they share their stuff, they lose the players, since it's the only thing that keeps their mod alive.

Look at FH2. The gameplay is quite the same as BF2, it doesn't have huge codes systems and big gameplay changer like FOBs, 2men vehicles, radios, supply crates, rallies, insurgency, etc. The menu is still the same as BF2. No mumble, no launcher, etc. It just doesn't look as polished and different from BF2 than PR does. That's why PR is alive, because it's not just BF2 with new toys (POE2, that's why it died), but because it's a whole new experience.

People that play FH2 (like me) play it because it's set in WW2, has great models, nice effects and some nice graphics and sounds, etc.

Now if FH2 gave their stuff to PN... less people would play FH2, because the awesome stuff from FH2 is now in PR, which is a greater experience for many people. The only players left on FH2 would be people that prefer having some relaxed rounds of semi-arcade play.
