so, I have tried editing my file names, checking my firewall and every other trick on the thred with no success. I am able to log in perfectly fine, but once I click on a server to join my game closes with the error message "Cleaning PR:BF2 Recources" any assistance possible?

Check your antivirus , firewall, windows firewall, router firewall, etc. make sure PRBF2.exe can pass through.

Make sure all overlay programs are turned off.

Overlay was the issue finally, thank you!

What does that mean? Overlay? Have the same problem, I have no antivirus, and pr is getting pass the firewall!

Overlay meaning something like Teamspeak overlay, Overwolf, Xfire,... Secondary software that overlays it's windows over your game.
