Re: Major Performance Issues

Keep the information coming guys. If the information won't be of any help to the DEV's, us poor SOB's might find it useful.
Didn't work for me.{ZW}C-LOKE wrote:I don't know who mentioned it, but seriously, and against all logic, by setting dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows on, the video performance issues I was having are GONE!
Everything else set to low, with the exception of view distance and texture quality.
I also noticed when dynamic Lighting and Shadow were turned off, I was still seeing shadows on some vehicles and some statics, which should not have been the case. This could very well be the issue.
That seems awesome, I gonna try it myself and see if it works, but they still gotta fix the loading time for the maps.{ZW}C-LOKE wrote:I don't know who mentioned it, but seriously, and against all logic, by setting dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows on, the video performance issues I was having are GONE!

I think there is no difference for me, no matter how I change the settings it runs with the same framerate, I even tried to bring resolution down to 1024x768(it increases fps in every other game) but my fps was still the same.ubermensche wrote:I noticed how anti-aliasing 8x improves the graphic issues a lot. You're welcome!{ZW}C-LOKE wrote:I don't know who mentioned it, but seriously, and against all logic, by setting dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows on, the video performance issues I was having are GONE!

I also noticed this. No matter what other settings are changed, there is zero fps change on my end, barring the dynamic lighting ones on medium. I play in 1920x1080 but even going as far as 800x600 causes absolutely no performance change, nor visual change for that matter, as if the setting is actually changing nothing.Unhealed wrote:I think there is no difference for me, no matter how I change the settings it runs with the same framerate, I even tried to bring resolution down to 1024x768(it increases fps in every other game) but my fps was still the same.
Can't play with high texture settings thou becouse my game tends to crash more with them.
I think there has been a little misunderstanding here. At first, some people were complaining that even at high settings, everything looked as if it were on medium. And I just said that anti-aliasing 8x seems to solve/improve that issue. It's definitely not gonna increase the framerate. In fact it might actually do the opposite 'cause it uses additional CPU and RAM and everything.Unhealed wrote:I think there is no difference for me, no matter how I change the settings it runs with the same framerate, I even tried to bring resolution down to 1024x768(it increases fps in every other game) but my fps was still the same.

Same for me, my PC sucks, I'm not getting a very good fps sometimes if there is a lot of players on the map, but then again it was like that in 0.98 too but now it's like that but with 100 player, cool!crokojot wrote:I dont know what to say i see that there is some old computers but new ones too...there is no evident FPS drop for me unless some lag but that is not in bond with computer parts. Playing normal like 0.98 in 1920x1200 and i dont have a high-end PC.
Nice try. Not for me tho - Cooler Master V8 cooling temperature is 30C idle and about 40-43C running PR... My GTX470 is always same 55-60C no matter what I am running.Bringerof_D wrote:just throwing a thought out here, those of you who are getting low FPS despite having good hardware and those of you crashing or starting high and losing frame rate over time, could this be a symptom of overheating? do you have a small heat sink and only one or two fans in your computer? i ask because i notice that when i play certain games (PR is one of them) that my fans speed up and my case starts to get fairly hot over time. Also because i have not encountered this problem, all the times i lag spike can be directly attributed to my connection or is server related and is happening to everyone in the game.
My CPU is undervolted (less heat, lower power, increases lifespan) and have an NH-D14 on top, highly unlikely, sir.Bringerof_D wrote:could this be a symptom of overheating? do you have a small heat sink and only one or two fans in your computer?
damn..... 40-50 fps and unplayable, that gotta be some alien eyes you haveFlamingSoul wrote:I also have unplayable game now.. 40-50 fps, sometimes lower. Used to constant 100 in .98 (It also had some FPS drops on Ramiel, Fallujah, Kokan)![]()
