Right now, you're like "DEAL WITH ME NOT HAVING A MIC!" which makes you come of like an asshat, for a server admin lacking the means to communicate properly should be a no-go, and I'm surprised you'd even bring that to public attention. I also wager 90% of all the other server admins and owners are currently quite dumbstruck that you are choosing to willingly ignore a key server rule that has been in place for the last 3 years at the least, on the majority of all servers.

I mean, it's your choice, but you're quite stubborn not putting some 30 bucks into your problem solver, but instead bash server administrators in general - you're not name calling, ok, but you're making a big deal out of an almost non-issue that's ENTIRELY up to you to resolve.
So now I am the asshat for using the saying "deal with it" which is a response to someone else saying that to me? L2context dude

To everyone else I would like to point out that using a mic would be of advantage, but I am not using one and thats that. And it is very interesting to see how some people here instantly start throwing shit at me for that. (=mic nazis)

Many things would be easier if all had mics in this game, but we dont always get ideal in this game so yes we all have to DEAL WITH IT.

Actually there should be a saboteur class that actually works for the other team. How to play? Simply pick a player who is in a squad that runs some important vehicle, accuse that guy of not teamplaying, misspelled squad name or being micless, then watch how that player will get entagled into 10mins of arguing with an admin, making the asset he is using useless for that time. You get extra points for doing that to a squad that needs 2 players like attack helis.

BAMF you destroyed that teams heavy assets through cunning and use of staggering admin incompetence

You don't have to believe in it, anyone can experience it. Sometimes mumble crashes and the match turns into utter ****(if it's not skirmish of course).

This thread should be closed. Turning into a flame war with people *actually* trying to argue that they don't need mics? Seriously?

You need a mic to explain WTF happened when your chopper blows up. I'm a super bad pilot Im still learning, yet when I explain this to people and apologize when it does happen WITH AUDIO everything is cool. Most people MISS TEXT because they are busy looking at the map etc.

I think it must be because all us "mic guys" are ********, right? lol

Sure I'll play with you and won't report you for not having a mic or whatever... buuut you'll always be second class to someone who can communicate loudly and instantly. Doesn't matter how low you can fly.

where did I say people with mics are ********? I said people who are being abusive against people who dont have mics are ********.
Besides this topic was not about mics, so lets direct the discussion away from that. In fact, I almost never get issues when I join infantry squads and the SL finds out I got no mic. Some times there is a disappointed sigh but thats it. But I am respected as a squad member. The topic here was for the most part about people reporting heli pilots to admins for "crappy flying".

First off, you do not have to apologize for anythign if you get shot down from enemy fire. Because that is not your fault. You should say sorry if that crash is caused by your own fault.

Secondly, you underestimate how fast some people can type.

Are you high or something? And btw it's not a smart thing to argue with an admin.

Well Admins are some kind of deaf and blind people they only act with their rules and never try to resolve problems with words.

My simple observation since my 3 years of Pr.

If you are teamplaying, thats all that matters. Though I think that you are mssing out by not using a mic.

About the servers. The simple answer is play in a better server where the admins are over 18 and are supervised by their clan/community. The server sets the tone on teamplay. You get what you got because you see players/admins treat people badly and say or do nothing. Welcome to Project Reality.

I have never understood people who diss the pilots of trans helis. If I am transported by one to our squads location and get shot down or crashed I blame myself and feel ashamed for having the pilot shot down because of our seemingly bad request. Never have I doubted the pilots decision either, he knows way better what he is planning, which you can't see from the ground looking at him.

People without mic are liability to the squad and team. People without mics should be kicked from the server they are playing in as soon as it becomes full.

Mic nazi? Yes, I am a mic nazi.

If you are the server admin, that is certainly your choice to make. If you aren't, let the admin decide who to kick, if anyone.

Okay, let's try this:

There's a room for mic-less players in PR, and there always will be. Certain server rules may differ from this, but PR does not require a microphone to be played.

However, this does not mean that a mic isn't an excellent investment, nor does it mean that having no mic can't get you kicked from certain squads. It's individual decisions by the SLs and server admins in question.

Not having a mic is not forbidden in general, however, and implying so is wrong.

Now, this thread was about a lot more than mics. It was about following SL and Commander orders and whether or not it is okay to deny them, it was about trans heli pilots and how they're being treated; just read the OP.

Now, the thread title is a story for itself. It was already flame inviting, and I'm not surprised that this went downhill.

Original poster. I do appreciate people who put a lot of effort in a post. And I think it's good if a forum has a few walls of text here and there. However, I hope you understand how hopeless this attempt was... Do not give up, keep trying to improve the situation of trans pilots and micless players, and feel free to discuss these topics on our forum. But the time for this thread has come early, and I can't say the huge red text and title didn't have anything to do with it.
