Ye it's not actually zooming, just increasing sharpness

And how do you want to implement such a thing in PR?
Use a pp sharpening filter?

Lol you might want to read the previous posts prior to posting your funny sarcasm

its just there is no reason to take a unscoped kit anymore except, you forced to do so.
1. If you play as 1.0 should be played... slowly and at a distance, you have plenty of time. Ofcourse, majority of people just play BF2 style and go close... then I agree that there is no time. And you can still see those 3 pixels... you dont know what they are, but you can see them and you can shoot at them, amirite?

2. Oh but you are wrong. US scopes dont have BUIS... i take unscoped sometimes. RU scopes have bad BUIS, so i also take unscoped from time to time.

No seriously. No sarcasm here.

How would you implement such an "eye-focus" without a zoom? Engine wise.
If you could just do "anything", imo it should blur out the outer edge and increase (or concentrate) your resolution in the inner part of your screen.

But with current available solutions, i can't think of something different than a sharpening filter (or an (bionic) eye zoom similar to arma, which i don't like at all).

We were just talking about eye-focus as it is how real life works, but yes it's obviously not possible on a game, hence a required zoom to make up for it.

That idea that the old binoculars were good than the new ones... forget about that one.

The new one (more realistic) has radials that can let you judge distances, like - 300 - on a target and is very useful.

When you use a binocular, you don't see two circles in one, you see one retina.

After reading through the thread I also advocate an "eye zoom" button with a very small magnification like they did in ARMA. Also if that is technically to complicated to implement a slight magnification when using standard iron sights would also help solve the problem. In my opinion this is in no way unrealistic as many of you mentioned. Eye focus can be very good simulated using a slight zoom.

1.Give the Binos back to ALL kits.
2. If not, Add a small zoom to the unscoped rifles and reduce the zoom on scoped rifles. For the sake of balance.
3. Or just take every rifle that zooms completly out of the game. except for the sniper, marksman, squad leader.

Project Reality is realistic enough now, It's time to care about BALANCE

It's called Project Reality, not Project Balance.

It's called Project Reality, not Project Balance.
It's still a game, implying gameplay comes before rough realism.

Adapt your behaviour to this change.

People asking for binos look like butthurt, IMO.

Not necessarily. It entirely depends on what the subject is. We mostly follow reality, but in some cases, we choose gameplay (gamey stuff) over reality. But just because it's a game, doesn't mean gameplay always comes first.

look Devs and Players.

You can support the new changes. But don't wonder yourself if the Teamswitching gets too bad.
In my whole PR carreer i played 90% on the INS side. I liked it too be a bit disadvantaged, i looked at it as a kind of challange.
The better i become in INS as Insurgent the better i would be in AAS as a regulare Infantrie unit.
Since 1.0 it all doesn't make fun anymore. In AAS i walked around with my squad and we allways end up shot by a armored vehicle or a single AR camper with a Scope.
Therefore i started to lonewolf a lot more. Why? Because now I simply pick up a Crewman or a Spotter kit with binoculares and start to sneak around, at least i can identifie enemy movements a lot better and report them to my team.
I have the feeling, when playing AAS, the only thing that matters are the tanks and the CAS now.
Noo.. not only on AAS on every map. The only fucking thing that's importend are the armored vehicles.
I only play as INF and by only i mean 100%. Maybe i drive a Humvee or a supply truck, but i never use a tank, spg techie, transport chopper or something like that. But it really doesn't make fun anymore being in an Inf squad.
I really wish you would implent more INF only maps.

Ramiel is the biggest joke i've seen so far.
2 kiowas, several Strikers and a MK19 Humvee? Seriously?
And i can't even hit the Tower of the mosque with a RPG within 200meters after 20secs of aiming?
I kinda got the feeling you want to destroy the INS mode. You want to make it so worse that no one ever wants to play it again.

It was never more boring to be an Infantriest than it is in 1.0.
And you totally destroyed the Teamplay for the Insurgents. I can't build Hideouts with my squad, cuz the average Inf squad has a SQL, Civi, RPG, RPK and a PKM. 5 kits of 8 with no shovel!!!
and i can't even set up rally points! WTF!
those maps are representing the towns where the INS lives and i can't set up rally points?
Who of your guys came up with this genius idea??

why do i even try to explain it to you? you won't listen anyway.

They might if you had a better attitude. But if they still don't, then does that mean you'll shut up and leave?

I don't want to play other games. They are all boring. That's why i'm complaining.

You might want to rephrase some things in your post, so it contains constructive criticism rather than have this all-negative vibe.

Also, your post is aimed more towards Insurgency in general, rather than the removal of binocs (which this thread is about).
