February 2007 for the real start (I briefly lone wolfed PRMM 0.3 months before) for the release of PR 0.5, I found a good squad leader on Ejod Desert and the map with the sand storm.
Even though I was a little pissed off by the overpowered sniper rifles/DMR, I got really hooked to the mod and kept loving it more and more after each patch (except for 0.7 and 0.8 :mrgreen

I don't remember my first first time, was quite a long time ago, must be more than 4 years, although my very recent one was not the hottest. I decided to play PR once again since the 1.0v was released. I was really hyped for it and got many of my friends to also give it a try. I first joined the Tactical Gamer server on launch day and had quite the bad time. I mean, the server had atrocious lag and rubber banding along with the bad frame rate on Dovre, not to mention I didn't really know what I was doing. I soon learnt the the issue was not Dovre. In fact, almost every map which is played runs with a rather low fps. I've spent hours on this forums and others to attempt to find a solution but have had no luck in fixing it. Hope future new/re-comers have a better first impression and better experience with the game than I have had. To me, 1.0 is Broken and sadly very hard to enjoy.

0.5 Al Basrah... spawned as insurgent and had no clue what to do.... walked into a street, saw an A10....getting closer.... HOLY SHIT COMMING STRAIGHT AT ME!

Didn't really got into PR until one map of......uh..... that small city map with the Tank emplacements. There i encountered a lot of awesome games

The only thing I remember was constantly getting kicked out of (for messing up) and then reinvited to dbzao's squad. It took me a long time to drop the habit of trying to spot (Q+LMB) enemies.

Zatar Wetlands, I think it was back in version 0.7, not sure though.

I came home from work to find my roomate playing PR. I said, "What the fuck is this stupid shit?" I decided to play it that night. Big mistake!!! lol. This was in 2006. I've been hooked ever since.

I joined =HOG= Muttrah 24/7 started playing there learned all i knew from =HOG= Blazen. Still remember Thinking what the hell does a shovel do.

Guys kept saying don't move your gun around alot and listen for the enemy. I was thinking Listen? what is this madness.

I hated it until I started to play with people who I trusted.

I think it was .6? Sometime 2008 I heard about it in BF2 and tried it. Played what I think was Karbala. First thing I did was run for the unused apache, thinking, "Can't believe no one has taken this beauty of a model. Oh boiohboi!" I shortly after capsized on the pad and was rather impolitely informed through voip how much of a waste I was. I promptly departed the server, thinking I would never be capable. :'(
I came back sometime for .8, made my SL proud, and have lived a happily ever after PR life.
Moral of the story? Please be accepting of the noobs. If not for what they are, then for who they are: Capable, potential, innocent(well, maybe not), but uneducated players.

Ramiel, skirmish. I join a squad but alas my mic isn't set up, they can't hear me so I get removed to make room. Resentful and bitter, I take the mantle of "blue guy" with a point to prove, that I can be a team asset! So I run up the road 12 times and die due to the unfortunate circumstances that someone decided to take the proper time to aim. The round ended, it was late, I hate school in the morning.

I returned three days later anyway

I downloaded the mod 3 years ago without knowing that it has its focus on teamplay etc. . I joined a server, i think the map was iron ridge, spawned in, grabbed a sniper kit (yes...i really did... ), and wondered how big the map is and that i wouldn't find somebody to shoot in 10 years Finally, i spotted another wookie in the woods, took my pistol out and tried to shoot him. I missed him, he didn't even realize that i was shooting at him and he just walked past me. When i finally got him, i just thought "weird game" and quit ...and came back later.

started in .5 i think the one with the old small muttrah. never played bf2 again just PR.

Thought i'd play it like bf2 but more action, long story short my k.d was nothing to be proud of

Cant even remember back that far! Interviewed Requeim about this mod before even BF2 came out about 8 years ago!!!
