I'd be happy with seeing some gameplay. Even just like a minute. Doesn't have to be intense or riveting. Just a minute of someone walking around so you can see some of the new maps/models/animations. That way we still have some surprises but we got a little bit of everything.

Well that wouldn't be very historically accurate, considering the coast was guarded by infantry divisions without heavy tanks.

Well, I think that there will be only PzKpfw IV vs. sherman

On Omaha Beach? Unlikely.

I hope there are tanks, no matter which, It would be a really nice add-on, tough it is not historically accurate. Will there be planes?

Well perhaps even in all WW2 minimod. German tanks were better IRL. What would US have against Tiger or Panter? Well Sherman firefly would do the job, but it still had weak armor. It would be nice to see tank destroyers like Hetzer Hellcat, assalut guns like STUG IV. But it will not happen in "first" release, I think.

The allies had nothing that could match german tanks, no matter if it was a Pz IV or a Tiger, yet their only way to beat them was outnoumbering them, that strategy worked them pretty well. A couple of Shermans or Cromwells flanking a single panzer is an always-winning tactic.

I wouldn't give any kind of progress percentage because I have no idea at the moment, but I would say that there has been a good amount of progress within the last few weeks

There will be tanks, but we have more maps than just Omaha

While the Tiger was better armoured than all western allied tanks it could still be defeated by the 76mm gun, as mounted on the M10 and M18 tank destroyers as well as a rising number of Sherman tanks. Even the 75mm gun on the Sherman can knock out a Tiger if close enough. The main advantage of th German tank arm at this stage was crew training and experience. Look up the battle of Arracourt, a pure tank battle between Shermans with the old 75mm and the newest model Panther. The Germans got totally destroyed with horrible casualty rates, simply because they had no time to train their crew properly.
Last but not least: the PzIV? Seriously? That's a design from 1936, no sloped armor at all. Shermans were better armored than that thing, although it did have a better gun.

Indeed training and experience is very important. Hell, I still get shit from people because my favorite tank in the Panzer III M/N.

He was not talking about the panther, but the tiger, so your argument is invalid.
