Don't think that's the motive Brooklyn.

What I understood, and I'm inclined to agree, is that there's always a dedicated Trans Squad but not a logy one, so when a tank is tracked in the middle of nowhere its most likely you'll need to TK your driver so he can get one logistics truck.

Therefor giving repair stations to choppers would increase the response of repairs in armor and decrease the boredom of a trans pilot.

BUT, this would only be a positive thing to the gameplay if, in python, it would be possible to only repair the tracks, preventing the repair of Tanks in the front line.

Edit:
One suggestion could be the creation of a engineer chopper, with no room for passengers this chopper would be the repair station.
To be able to repair armor, this chopper would need to land (or hover for a long time) near the vehicle to repair it.
This would require the rest of the armor to secure the position.

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

i'm sorry, but wtf is this community turning into?
Have you ever played Bijar Canyons on MEC before?

It sucks being in a T72, you got damaged... your by the last flag by IDF, you are like almost 3000 m away from your main.... It takes like 10 minutes to RTB.

I would say Bijar is the only good map for this. I like RTBing tho in tanks and stuff, since I can go on my phone and text and drive vehicles without being arrested in pr

how say that? the main argument is because if the tank get hes track destroyed and cant move back to main and some hero have to take a logi truck and drive all way on the map to the tank/apc

I think Bijar Canyons is the only map that should really have Chopper Repair Stations.

But, Can you guys make it, so you have to land on helipad to rearm it? It's like the supply crates.

This game isn't a simulator, it's an arcade game with realistic settings. People don't want to drive 15 minutes back to base to repair and drive 15 minutes back to the front and people don't want to drive 15 minutes in a logistics truck just to repair a tank, big surprise. Besides that it doesn't improve the gameplay at all. Making choppers able to drop repairs would a) give pilots another task in otherwise mostly boring mid-late games and b) improve the gameplay's pace.

I'm against this idea even though I agree how boring it can be to do transport duties and how difficult or frustrating it can be to damage a helo because it flips over for no reason.

If there was to be a specialized heavy duty chopper ( gotta love the seahawk ;) ) for repairs only I'd be all for that but having repair station in black hawk strikes me too arcadey / odd solution

That would be sick.

how about adding the MH-53, it would just pick up tanks then Rtb, then drop em off! :P

Good ol'e sarcasm... Rather than having magical repair box in black hawk or little bird I simply suggested specialised utility vehicle being able to drop a repair station. I never said anything about picking up 60 ton worth of scrap metal.

Rudd's post: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f137-p ... tanks.html

I believe the TANK / ARMOR squad should take care of their own logistics (just as IRL?).
IMO it is important that we keep the time window when the assets needs to RTB to give the (enemy) infantry and lighter vehicles the chance to make a push. Let’s say you can’t destroy an enemy asset but maybe you can damage it and force it to RTB.
