i played vanilla for about 15 hours, then started to look for a realism mod. the first mod that came up during the search was PR. i then told my friends about it and we havent looked back.

vanilla is unplayable. PR is one of the best FPS ever.

Basically , the AK was firing so slowly lol.....

I think i PR is the best "game" ive ever played, well...FEAR is good as well..but PR is just awsome.

I was browsing through news about a certain game that I'd been watching for a while. The game was called 'Battlefield 2'. On a certain site dedicated to this game (http://www.totalbf2.com) I happened to notice something about a realism mod. So I registered on the old forums and have been involved in the mod ever since.

I have been playing PR since the end of 2005 I believe remember that it was looking for some realism mod for BF2...I always liked realism..
It could be great if requiem or someone could tell us the first steps of PR I mean the who, when and how of PR born...

I was told by some people who play on a neverwinter nights server I used to play. Not sure whether it was darkpowder or rando who told me, but well, they got me here

egale introduced me to it here when i was bored out of my head in work experience i decided to write another massive post. i have rearely turned back since.

i used to play Joint Ops and when the Reality Mod came out for that I couldn't play on vanilla servers anymore.

vBF2 came out and I didn't get it, stayed with Reality instead.

FInally I decided that maybe I was all played out on JO:R and this was about a year after the game came out. I bought vBF2 and couldn't play it on my system and had to upgrade my pc. When I did, I played some vanilla for about a week and couldn't stand the rubbish that was vBF2 and talk on the Brutal Arts website sent me to this Mod.

There is supposed to have been a Reality Mod for vBF2 from the leftovers of the team that made JO:R after the team split in two, with the leaving half going to make a reality mod. They said they were close to creating it and then I heard nothing more, their forums seem to be practically frozen. http://forums.psyphon.com/ That''s where the JO:R forum is now.

I played in a vBF2 clan for a long time and continually got frustrated how the UAV and radar makes strategy useless. I was also not happy with how many bullets it takes to kill someone. I first tried 0.2 and in my fist few rounds had so much fun sneaking into a base from the rear and wiping them out with a SAW that actually does damage. I did not fully adopt PR then but played it from time to time. Then when 0.3 came out I played it all the time except when there was a clan match or pub night. With 0.4 I resigned from my clan and played PR exclusively.

I happened upon the release of .3 on Totalbf2, but I knew about it a loooonnnggg time ago. Just never bothered to try it until May.

Can't remember when but I started playing at version 0.2 back when it really was a mini-mod. At the time it was around two in the morning and I couldn't get to sleep so I downloaded it because it looked like a mod with lots of potential. Ended up playing on gloryhondz to nearly seven in the morning

Played it a bit more but then fogot about the mod untill 0.25 came out. Not too long later the rest of .:iG:. started playing this mod and we soon found it was far superior to the vBf2 that we had been playing. Around May/June we pretty much stopped playing vBf2 anymore and concentrated purley on Prm

Back in the day when everyone cared about stats and spends their whole day in Karkand for their pistol or knife badge, I decided to join a few battlefield 2 community forums. I joined total bf2, and one day while I was reading nes sections i was looking at mod updates. as I thought, mods are just a waste of time, you see its unranked and has no stats. I downloaded a few mods, atcually turned out to be quite fun. I saw a mod update on the forum about Project Reliaty just modeled the Suburban. That got me in a closer look, so I downloaded the latest version of it, and here I am now.

When they FIRST released screens of the ATV. This was before BF2 came out in stores.

Joint Ops Typhoon Rising ->Joint Ops Escalation -> Joint Ops Reality -> vBF2 -> BF2-Project Reality. It's been a fun journey. Salute.

Oh noes, argentinos in PR ?! Just kiding, wellcome to the forums man, forget our soccer rivalrys and lets play PR. There isnt a "server argentino" but there is a brasilian one, near to Argentina with a nice ping. I hope meet you there once.

Local BF-site has a weekly update on BF mods (it think it's currently down because the guy writing it got tired or something) and there it was one day. I didn't try it until .2 because i was pretty busy with other things, but that mini-mod really made a difference back then. Haven't played vBF2 since. Lot's of ppl from Finland loving the mod & it's makers! (At least by the looks of many stupid nicks in servers.. )
