If you see behaviour of misconduct, why do you not report it to the servers webpage? Or at least check out the "Playable servers"-thread on this forum and grab one or two contactpoints and send them an email/xfire/whatever? Most public servers are not hosted by professionals, but by gamers who let you play on their server. Some of them have even paid hard earned cash for it. They have jobs, studies, wife and kids etc, that take up their time when they can't sneak away to play. It is difficult to be everywhere at once. But with the communities help and giving the administrators of the myriad of new servers a tip, maybe we can do you guys a favour in return and manage a server you want to play on

Good Point. Not to mention that the interface to manage the servers are buggy and a awkward (i.e. bf2cc). It is difficult to manage a game while "ingame". If something happens it is best for the admin to get out of the game and take care of any trouble makers via the bf2cc screen. Obviously quick bans, kicks, and warnings can be done quickly by admins while in game, but we do not like to do any of that with out PROOF. Nothing is worse than being kicked or banned because of someone elses bad behavoir. SO if there is any trouble we like to get into the console and read the chat and then pass out warnings and so on.

Being new to this community I realise that my opinion is probably worth little more than a chuckle...that being said, we have servers running PR, we pay for the box, and we will not tolerate ANY deliberate TK's whether they are retalitory or not. Reason is simple, you cannot teach good manners to a jackass who is coming in and acting like a smacktard. It is just better to report him to the admin or post on the server site and let the owners of the server BAN HIS.HER ***. Retalitory TK'ing never works, it just makes the situation worse.

I am concerned a bit about some of the attitude that the "senior" members of this community is conveying. Word is getting out that PR is filled with snobs who do not welcome new players and treats them poorly. While this will always happen, no matter what game it is, this game or what I like to call a sim, requires a steep learning curve, and thereby needs you vets to assist the noobs with the game play. Dont get me wrong, I personally have only met awesome people whom have helped me out immensely, I have not experienced any negative remarks..well ok, one or two..lol, but I deserved it. I have been talking to clan leaders in other games like RVS and Vbf2 and alot are down on the attitude...or at least the rumors of it. Reading this thread is definitely not a "noob friendly" one. All I am saying is..try to ease up on the new-guys. give them a chance. This is an awesome sim (lol), and many more people from vbf2 and games like Ravenshield will be coming over. I know that 3 of my clan members are a bit apprehensive to play PR without some senior FoW members there to support them. It should not be this way. Just my opionion.

Look forward to playing with everyone on your and our server.

I think one element here is arrogance.
If you mistakenly shoot 3 teammates from close range and get yelled at, your only response should be "sorry", not "FU dickhead I'm new here" or something similiar.
TK's happen and the "senior" members know that but to respond to your mistake with agression will only cause others not involved to pile on.

I for one welcome new players and try to help, but I'm human too and when advice is ignored and flags are lost there might be some choice words used.

I don't think we have many true "noobs" in the sense that they don't know how to play a FPS but the maps in some cases are confusing and the best thing is to follow along and ask questions.

But that defective sperm guy is a PIA and was hounded out of a game on al fallujah recently and unfortuneatly people like that spoil the mood, for lack of a better word, for many players and make them a lil testy on occasion.

There is always someone who will take the time to explain things or refer you to the forum.

PR is a game where you dont instantly open fire on the first enemy you see.. especially when you could be TKing somebody, people have to get out of the nilla habit of insta-twitch shooting and actually wait and check out a target to see what their doing, if they arent firing at you first then its usually safe to get into a better firing position and take them out, this is more effective as the guys squad mates would just spot and kill you anyway.

What I do is I face the guy every time I land so I make sure he doesn't go around and tk me. If we wants to get around, I'll just go around with him. If he doesn't wanna get in, he's lost. That's what I usually do and I think you could do the same. It avoids the right away tks.

Nah, BASHOL is ok in my books now really. It was just an example of the vote not working. If you read this Bash, no offence and Hi!

this guy definitely should be banned from all servers, ive seen him do some incredibly irritating things he seems to be a greif player..
Yeah man, he grinds my gears. Im SURE he does it to others too.
Leo wrote:Did you mean you were playing with the clan 22ndMEU (us)? Or just used that military unit for referance.

Oh and he came on a server and joined my squad, and I warned that he had been reported to be hacking, and just not a good guy to play with, when he tried to deny it everyone came to my defense, everyone in the server went against him.

He later came on our server and started cussing out my clan, well, lets just say his team didn't take kindly to that and his team TKed him until he left. (BTW this was the team that the 22nd wasn't on
I was refering to the Militray unit. Soz for using it, its just the 1st USMC unit that came to mind.

But in my opinion, if somebody's being such a total **** that you feel they need killing (and you're a mature, rational person capable of such a distinction), whether it be by purposeful TKing, racist text flaming, Al Basrah base raping, or something else I haven't thought of, I say waste the fuckers. Of course you have to be willing to face the occasional auto-kick, and if I were you I'd back up your info with a screen shot in case you get banned for it.

Like I said, some people will tell you TKs are never acceptable. But in my opinion, we have friendly fire turned on, so if people want to exploit our maturity, they can feel it's wraith. Fuck 'em.

It is uncool to be on the recieving end though. One time I was playing Mutrah (is Mutrah the one with the docks and park, etc. or the one with the mosque, power station, hotel, etc.? I mean the one with the docks and park), and I needed ammo. JohnnyPissoff was rifleman, and I kept going up to him and requesting ammo. Maybe he had sound or "all radio comms = english" turned off, or he didn't have any ammo bags left or something. But at the time I'd never seen him before, and wasn't a member of the forums. So I figured he was just a dumbass vanilla noob. So I kept following him around asking for ammo. Eventually he just got pissed off and knifed me.

With my present knowledge of his character, I'd say it was understandable, while still not in my "justifiable" category. But boy did it piss me off at the time. My point is, unless you want some people really pissed, make sure it's for a good cause.
Yea yea JP I remember that clearly and yea it was muttrah by the market. I truly didn't realize I had rifleman kit as I hardly ever use it. ( generally medic or nade launcher by default) I must have acquired it as a result of revive. Plus another thing speaking of TK that round....one guy TKed one of my squadmates twice purposely and he swore it was you after I told him some dude followed me all the way from the mosque dancing around with a knife in my face...lol...duh yea you needed ammo.

Man I'm truly sorry about that misunderstanding as I try hard as hell not to TK even for revenge. I thought the only way to get you outta my face was to give you the knife fight I thought you wanted heh. After all I did use my knife not my assault weapon.

One good thing as I recall, we ended up in the same squad either later or next round and worked well together. As anyone that knows me in game knows I'm a steady team player, and again apologize for the nature of events that occurred that round.

Haha, yes. At the time I was ridiculously pissed. I was hoping if I did the old knife dance, you'd start thinking, "what the hell is this guy's problem? What does he want? And why does he keep saying 'running dry, need ammo'? Oh......."

But I didn't TK you back or try to kick vote you or anything, as you *did* use your knife in the end.

But then as I saw you around so more I realized you weren't a fucktard, so I let it drop. Glad to see there's an explanation though, as it's always made me wonder.

I really wanted that ammo as I'd picked an M4 up off a USMC guy, and was giving them hefty doses of their own medicine. Damn I can whore that thing like nobody's business.

I hope you sent BTT the guys name from that clip, we are sorry this happens, and its hard for admins to really "know" what is going on without question or proof(like this).
ECGN has a 30 second spawn plus and extra second per death, and no limit. We often have admins online, if not in game they are on BF2CC watching over chat.
Like BTT said you can post these types of things at ECGNetwork.com and we will ban them accordingly.

Thanks everyone for coming to play at ECGN.

As you can see, the player runs up to the chopper and shoots his teamate with an M4, then steals the chopper and takes off with it.

.
Some FUCKWIT with the Tag something like TECR_5ROCK (I wrote it down) did this to me in Jabal.
On the carrier, he shoots me when I am in the pilot seat and steals the little bird. *******.

These kinda people should be lined up and shot (ingame ofcourse)...then shot again...If you see someone TK another player for a Vehicle and ur Engie/Specops/AT, then shoot it/place C4/Slamm....i see it sometimes, and when it does happen, i just TK him back, and make sure he doesnt get to "use" it......

But what i do is Justyfiable....
...And then some admin catches you tKing and you look no different than the original guy... Both of you are then hailed as TKers.

My tactic is to never tk back, ever, that goes for bf2, too. Then write something glbally like 'player1 is tking me, please remember his name', then when further happens to other, they are aware and it makes it easier to get a voter against them to work and er for an admin to catch on...

Happened to me yesterday on Muttrah, by Marc 7111, after I had grabbed a LB which had already landed and flown it back to check for people who were left behind. After which he flew around with a full chopter for a couple of minutes, without landing...

A kick vote was started against him later, and he left.

A good tactic (imho) is if its a server that allows punishes you go up to him, shoot him a couple of times, and let him TK you 6 times, punish, and voila, he's gone.

Yea Wes he sent me the names and I banned them both.

Another thing that makes it hard to admin a PRM server is the lack of a free cam and the lack of kill messages and no name tags from over ten meters. All this makes it very difficult for an admin to get a grasp on what is going on in the server.

In BF2CC you only have a short timespan that you can look in the "history". I suggest that people agree on one thing. Second something happen - just yell IS THERE AN ADMIN HERE?

The second we (admins) read this we check the log and take affermative action. If its wrong, just do as I do - find them on some/or this forum and apologize for beeing a complete idiot and learn from it. Or if no admins are there, the minute someone is an idiot, just press printscreen and take a picture of it. Makes our lives so much more easier ...

On a related note, if I would like a PB screen taken, should I yell IS THERE AN ADMIN HERE????

Because it's mighty suspicious when you get taken out with a headshot from 100 yards the second someone pops around a corner, even though you saw them run around the other side of the building and were prone waiting for them to come around the corner. Finger on M4 trigger.
