ok how are you meant to climb ontop of tanks, im pretty sure you cant without first hopping onto a hummer then onto the tank turret...

are you going to raise the jump height or stick a mini ladder on them or lower teh tank height or something?

i havnt tried that since vanilla but im still pretty shure you cant jump onto them.

ANOTHER QUICK NOTE:
does shooting at the ammo piles of certain maps (like qwai and sunset) still crash the server? heheh.. just happened on our brazilian server Click21

Sounds promising - but if someone exits a moving tank (exit point is ontop of the tank)- the tank will kill him and the driver will get a teamkill, wont he? :S

actually no, you ride along on the top lol. And if you ump off when the vehicle is moving we've added some damage code so that you will be at very low health.

So unless you want to be a big target on top of a tank, or jump off to a probable death.. you'll need to think about how / when you exit vehicles hehe.

All ground vehicles will cause you damage if you jump out of then while moving in v0.5.

oh and the new way to get from an APC at a carrier if it is full just hop onto the top.

alright, you need a crewman or pilot kit to enter vehicles and choppers. what if your squadleader is in a tank or attack helo, can you spawn on him?

You can ENTER all vehicles. But with the incorrect kit you wont be able to OPERATE it.

Well the thing is that Squad Leaders will really want to use the Officer kit. Which means they can't operate any advanced vehicles.

They can choose NOT to use the Officer kit and grab a crewman or pilot kit, but they will not be able to set rally points.

What I hope we'll evolve to is where guys tend to specalise in helicopters, tanks or APCs or the like. They might also be squad leaders, but wouldn't need / want the pilot or crewman kits because they have no intent of dismounting and joining the fray / setting rally points.

Ideally those guys who begin to "specialise" will be attempting to keep vehicles alive for the entire duration of a round.

And by specialise I also mean that could be just for a single round or .. for some folks .. every time they play.

any posibility of add something like a gyroscope for the turrets of the tanks/apc ? IRL they have it :P
