Yes please :)

Ok then. British, Canadian, Polish etc forces used very similar organizations. These tables are for Normandy until the end of the war, since compared to the Germans and the US, they did not introduce new infantry organizations late in the war.

Commonwealth rifle section:
10 Men
1 Squad leader (SMG + pistol)
6 riflemen (Lee-Enfield rifle)
1 Assistant Squad leader (Lee-Enfield rifle)
1 Gunner (Bren + pistol)
1 loader (Lee-Enfield rifle)
(By 1944, the smg most used in North-Western Europe was the Sten, usually the MKII and MKIII models. In Italy the Thompson was still in use, same with Burma and other secondary fronts. Every third troop carried a PIAT.)

Commonwealth Paratrooper section:
10 Men
1 Squad Leader (Sten Gun + pistol)
5 rifle men (Lee-Enfield rifle or Sten Gun)
1 Assistant Squad Leader (Sten Gun)
1 Gunner (Bren)
1 Loader / Mortarman (cut-down 2-Inch Mortar - Sten Gun or pistol)
1 Sniper (Scoped Lee-Enfield rifle)
(Paratroopers usually had Colt M1911 or Browning Hi-Power pistols, not revolvers. The riflemen were supposed to have rifles, but a pool of between 400 and 300 Sten guns was kept in reserve for each battalion, meaning theoretically everybody could have been issued a Sten gun. Pictures show that they used a lot of them. The Sten version in use was usually the MKV with the wooden buttstock and frontgrip. One of three squads could have a second Bren gun.

Despite what some video games show, no silenced weapons were issued, but pictures exist of paratroopers with US M1 Carbines and prototype Patchett submachine guns. The mortar was only issued with 6 smoke rounds.)

Commonwealth Motor section:

8 Men
1 Squad Leader (SMG + pistol)
1 Driver (SMG)
4 riflemen (Lee-Enfield rifle)
1 Assistant Squad Leader (Lee-Enfield rifle)
1 Gunner (Bren)

(The halftrack carried a PIAT and a 2-inch mortar for each section)

After the losses in the Falaise Pocket, the Germans quickly raised new infantry divisions, using the new "Volksgrenadier" organisation. A Volksgrenadier company had two "Sturmzug" platoons and one "Grenadier" platoon. The Grenadier one was organized like the Normandy infantry one. The Sturmzug had two different kind of squad:

2x
Assault squad:

8 Men
1 Squad Leader (StG44 + pistol)
1 Assistant Squad Leader (StG44)
5 Riflemen (StG44)

1x
Support Squad:

8 Men
1 Squad Leader (StG44 + pistol)
1 Assistant Squad Leader (StG44)
4 Riflemen (StG44)
2 Gunners (MG42)

(Missing StG44s were often replaced by K98ks, G43s, MP40 or Italian-Made Beretta smgs. That being said, especially the infantry divisions used in the Ardennes offensive had available significant numbers of StG44s.)

@Ts4EVER

Dont let your autism get in the way of balancing the game.

Pointman needs SMG. So what if 3/7 spawnable kits will have full auto. We can live with that.

Autism? Really?

He made a list of what they had back then, not talking about how to balance things in-game.

I leave the gameplay stuff to frontliner because I am not familiar with the PR kit system and gunplay.

Speaking of, why don't you play PR? You have been here for the longest time. And yeah, thanks for the list, it's indeed pretty interesting.

Well I have played it a bit, it is just not my style of game. I am mostly here because I am an FH2 developer and BF2 modders need to stick together. And I am active in this subforum mostly because of my love for WW2.

I would definitely give it another try, especially try to play it with some serious people I.E. people usually active in these forums. It might not be historically accurate or realistic, but the gameplay is very unique, something that is honestly lacking in FH2 with all due respect.

If PR and FH2 had a baby it would be one of the best games ever!

I freaking loved FH2 back in the day, when gamespy was still around. I still play from time to time but it's hard to get a good game going, mostly because I play against bots or the servers with real players have way too high pings for me(or both). Listen have you guys thought about making your own WW2 game? On a new engine for commercial sale? Look at how popular day of infamy and WW2 is becoming. I badly want a proper world war 2 game with vehicles and combined arms like battlefield/forgotten hope. I didnt like bf1942 until I played FH1. Modern battlefield games are trash. There's an underserved market that wants something better than cod but less intense than arma. I call it the silent core fps playerbase.

Looking forward to this for the sole reason of having a squad of rifles dependant on an mg42. I have this strange fetish of realistic german fireteams that i couldnt be a part if in any fps... yet.

Mg34/42 doing the killing and suppressing while the rest of the squad pushes or covers the flanks.. that's my dream there.
