yea im running 64 vista'[R-MOD wrote:Dylan']Even though I don't really believe you. (even if you aren't lying i don't care) But if you have 4 gigs of RAM, you DO realize that you are only getting the performance of 2 gigs unless you use 64bit XP or vista, AND you have programs written to support 4 gigs of RAM. I believe that quadcore processors arent fully supportive of most games we have now, but I may be wrong. If not, you will most likely see a huge boost in running multiple programs anyways.
I have an Geforce 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3, and 2 gigs of RAM, and I run AlBasrah on average 80+FPS without action, and 50+ with action. I can image what lower end system encounter, and its not pretty. Even with EVERY top of the line part (which I pretty much have currently) I dont do as great as on some other maps with almost constant 65+ FPS... Dont get me wrong, it IS my favorite map, but there is that fact that not everyone has the ability to run it properly.
Not to be a **** but... proof please.A-10WarthogPilot wrote:i have 4 gigs of ram a 2T hard drive quadcore processor oh yea and DUAL nvidia geforce 8800s YEAH BABY
IMHO, anyone who buys a pre built cant say "its the best computer in the world" ...A-10WarthogPilot wrote:how? its my new dell xps its the best computer int he world!
I kinda agree with what you've said ..... Ram is a serious bottle neck for most people, and 2 gig's is pretty much the standard right now.SiN|ScarFace wrote:Ram will always provide the biggest performance increase for gaming.
Swapping is when you don't have enough ram and the system has to use the page file (hard drive) as ram which is slow as fuck and if your HDD light is always blinking when you are getting lag that is what is causing it and more ram will fix this issue.
The last rig i built ran me about 2500, just for the box ... ( no monitor, key board, mouse, head phones, speakers) JUST THE BOX ..... and there is no doubt if i went to buy the same thing pre built it would have been 3 times as much .... that is pretty much the standard ...A-10WarthogPilot wrote:i wanted to build my own... but my dad was like no this is better and im like nooo but im lazy and he diddnt want to help lol
