Some maps need arty and some dont, if you could get rid of arty where it is not realistic that would be great. It's a pain in the arse on some maps.

I didn't say we'd never have any Arty heh .. just that the vanilla stuff is harcoded in so many ways that it's effectively never going to be impossible to make it fit into PR. Mortars are a better fit for the size of the battlefields.

so, in 64 players version of a map we are going to see arty like now , but in maps 16/32 we are going to see mortars?

No.
More than likely there will be one or three maps that suit vBF2 Arty. The rest will have it removed.
Mortars will be available on all maps, but they will work nothing like the vBF2 arty nor like the current limited kits. They will have their own system of being deployed to the battlefield which will be introduced in v0.6 (but the v0.6 release may not include mortars as an option, I just mean that release will introduce the system we are going to use for deploying mortars).

but could u make the arty stronger? or is that hard coded too?

I think for mortars you should make it so you have to dial in coridinates and not like Desert Combat mortars where you just aim them at an enemy.
