'[PR wrote:AC3421']lol, I like you.

To bad im banned from the server for saying "Do something about your server screwing up" people kept asking for restarts cause the map/server was completly screwed up and bugged at the time and none of the admins there (there were alot) did anything, a couple were in my squad and completly ignored anything going on, even the 300+ pings every player was getting. None of them responded at all in chat or VOIP so I said what I said and some uptight admin decided to ban me for it. wow, lighten up.
Barking orders such as "Do something about your server screwing up" is not only a perfect demonstration of poor form but is somewhat disrespectful as well. I'm sure if the logs were reviewed (and yes, we do keep them all!) we would find there is a bit more in there that caused you to get banned than that ONE comment.

Asking an admin if there is something they can do and/or if they are aware of the problem so it can be resolved is a lot different than ordering them to do something.

'[PR wrote:AC3421']Im not gonna go download that stupid program just to get unbanned. God, thats so stupid. Man I really HATE YOUR F***ING WAYS, lmao you guys are just silly. Lighten the hell up for christs freaking sake. lol, you can keep me banned.
For everyone else paying attention. Follow the thread and look at how AC3421 comports himself. This is a perfect example of the type of players we do NOT tolerate on Tactical Gamer. Every response to him has been respectful and polite while almost every response from him has been aggressive, vulgar, and demanding.

That's why I got my wife hooked on WoW. :)

Welcome back Determined. Please keep your replies on-topic. For more insightful and eye opening server feedback, please post it in the correct thread, where you'll see the issue is being discussed.
Determined wrote: Also their auto kick script does not function how they say it does. It kicks seemingly randomly...well seemingly like the highest scoring player or squad leader randomly. lol It does not kick the member who has been on the longest. It does kick MULTIPLE people out at the same time on occaision. Oh, and it doesn't necessarily seem to be related to when a member joins a "full" server. Mind you the server has two reserved slots, which makes one wonder why someone is kicked even when the server still only has 62 people in it. Their system is shrewdly set up to solicit monies from a certain player type. Let me add to that by saying that I'm not accusing them of stealing money, or making money. That is usually what they accuse me of saying. I'm saying its shrewdly set up to make someone who plays a lot to give them money or be subjected to kicks. This weekend rally is a way to hook more people and generate more money. If your like most of the people out there who don't pay, you will be in for a weekend getting kicked at inoppurtune times, and frustratingly being stuck on one faction.
This is just hogwash. TG is non-profit. Money generated by the community is re-invested in the community. Just because you can't wrap your head around our kick script doesn't mean it doesn't work. And the only time that script "shrewdly" affects players is when the server is always full (usually right after a new release of the mod).

And the rally weekend is not designed to "hook" more people, rather its purpose is to get the very best teamplayers on at once, have the CO slots filled every round, and the best SLs leading coordinated games, to see just what the mod has to offer when all the elements are put into place.

This misinformation being spread from a vocal (albeit misinformed) minority here is getting tiring. We have hundreds of players enjoy the server every day, but for some reason about 3-5 people here can't get over their disagreements with our policies and feel the need to complain in every thread, no matter how off-topic.

I have deleted a bunch of posts from this thread.

I have issued short bans to some folks who have been out of line.

IF YOU WANT TO RUN A SERVER YOUR OWN WAY COUGH UP THE MONEY OR STFU.

My thanks to the TG guys for running a great server and what looks like being a great event. Hopefully the immature few who have taken this thread off topic will spend the thousands of dollars a year it takes to run a large server and configure it whatever way they wish. That way I won't have to babysit them.

er.. no my apologies that there are some people on these forums who are complete dickheads.

I think we are WAY too lenient with the ban stick.... I am gona start issuing permanent bans for stuff like this. Heated debate over game features and folks get a lil outt hand.. ok 24hrs to cool off .. but when folks are attempting to organise and contribute into the community..... a more respectful tone is in order as are longer bans for inappropriate behaviour.

It's not like all of a sudden angels within the PR community have started to misbehave... just about every contrary and rude post in this thread is from "repeat offenders".

Thanks Eggman. For putting an end to the damage these guys cause by their destructive and uncivilized manners.

I also wanted to chime in here and say volunteer to CO a round if your team is lacking a commander. We have had several outstanding people step up and take on the responsibility of CO'ing, and we'd certainly like to see more! Following the chain of command (SL, CO, etc.) is required at TG, and this weekend we should have the admins available to ensure orders are being followed on both sides of the map.

Remember, COs give a team the advantage of:

1) Organization
2) Supply drops
3) Vehicle drops
4) Artillery (on certain maps)
5) Intel

As an added bonus COs are currently exempt from the supporting member kick. If you CO, you must make commanding your priority, however. YOU WILL STILL BE KICKED IF YOU NEGLECT YOUR DUTIES AS CO, so I wouldn't suggest attempting to grab the spot to seek "immunity" from the supporting member kick. If you use the position as intended and organize the team your efforts will be truly appreciated.

I also wanted to mention the majority of TGers play between the hours of 8:00 p.m. - Midnight EST, so that's when the biggest push to get on the server will occur. That's also when a great deal of intense gaming will probably take place, so I recommend:

A) Be persistent if trying to join the server between those hours.
B) Become a supporting member of the community and add your BF2 ID to your forum profile.
C) Try to join the server during hours other than peak times.

We will make every effort to have admins available in game, in teamspeak and available in the forums via PM during rally weekend. So let's keep the games tight, the sportsmanship level high and make the TG PRM server the place to be this weekend...

Was no need, I had already stopped posting in the thread 2 days ago and let them do whatever they have to do. Anyway, I am part of the |3-5| gaming network/clan and we will be having a teamwork night as well, but without the hassle and a few other good things added in as well. Just check out the post for that.

'[R-CON wrote:|TG|asch']What does your ping end up as? We actually have quite a few players from overseas that play. If you want to post something on the TG forums for our Euro players to see, they can probably let you know how it plays for them ping-wise.
Well I'm in Belgium, and I always have a ping of 100-115. I think it does cost me between 10 to 60 percent of the engagements. I sure can't hit much with the sniper ... That said it is a price I've proven myself willing to pay. I often choose non twitch roles too (medic, SL, at).

A good game with a bad score for me is ALWAYS better then a bad game with a good score for me. I know it's not like that for most people though. Depends on what is important for you.
