engagin a tank or apc using infanttry:
i showed this to my students on the sl training hope this work for all of u too.
ok heres the tactic, is pretty simple, u have to smoke the apc/tank (use ur grenadier to make a more accurate shot on the apc/tank), so the enemy will confuse, and if he is a good driver, he will back off. if dont, ur squad must flank the apc/tank, and attack it with light at (ur rifleman and light at will be very important) or ieds, (if it is an apc use supress fire and/or nades if u dont have smoke, so u will be gaining more time for especciallists to make their job and preventing the enemy team spawn), remember smoke is ur friend and ur savior.
if u dont have any of this things, use a diversion (example: another squad flanking the tank apc or a decoy).
this works too when ure an insurgent aggainst a tank (i have destroyed so many tanks with this tactic, due the fact that newb tankers, prefer to use their explosive ballistics , instead of their 50 cal, this makes that the shoot blinds the operators and u have a free to go kill)

These only apply if you dont have AT
If you are a sniper or your squad has not been see by the tank their are two corses of action.
1. Run like hell and hope you find some cover
2.stay still and hidden
3. Get as close as possible to the tank as possible and stay low this may result in the enems in side getting ont and you and you squad taking them out.
PS Number 3 dose work took out a whole tank squad while a sniper.
started with the .50 gunner on top then the driver jumps out to see what happened and then the main gunner kill him as well then the tank is no longer a threat.
Always rember to move or they will come back for you.

Squad pinned down by a sniper?
Know where he is but just can't shoot him?
APC nearby?
Never mind marksmen/sniper kit, grab the heavy AT and blow that smug little ******* sky high!

I'd like to be able to map the scroll button for functions. (ie;scroll up = zoom, scroll down = grenade) Could someone PM me instructions on that? Maybe instructions you used that worked....I've seen some before but couldn't get them to work appropriately.
I use the default, right click for zoom/iron sights. What do you use right click for?
I can see how using your thumb for B would work, but that feels pretty awkward to me.

Step:
1. pull up commander screen
2. left click a squad (do not worry about holding, one click does it)
3. use the button you have set-up when talking to fellow squad members. Press down on that button and you have just opened a channel to one of your SLs.
4. Confirm if the SL copies. Should work.
__
If you press the button you use to talk to the CO, of cource all squad leaders will hear you.
Talking to an individual squad only works in the CO screen.
Hope this helps.
__
BTW, I just found out to request a crewman kit from the APC, one needs to be within 100 meters from a flag. may work for tank also.
__
Bonus CO tip. Press the Enter button on your keyboard to get the join squad/pick kit screen. This will allow you to take a look at what your squads are named (hopfully APC/lilbird/Choppa/Jet/Recon/ and who your SLs are.
Order your SL to consolidate for best results and form you own team.
OHH, I can't wait for the .6 CO redesign. Hells Yeah.

Popping smoke in armoured vehicles can be used to provide cover for nearby infantry that have to cross an open area.
You don't have to be able to see an enemy to spot them. If you know an enemy is hiding just behind an obstacle then spotting a point on the ground just next to where he is will often pick him out for your buddies.

causticbeat wrote:INSURGENTS! dont blow up that abandoned humvee, it can act ast as a resupply point, which is a godsend to RPG gunners, and if a US soldier happens to hop in to it, they are most likely not far away from death by rpg
I just wanted to repeat that!!! I keep getting TKed because I use the humvee for cover and resupply while working on taking out a tank or APC, espically at the North and South Checkpoints. Plus, if the humvee is here out in the middle of the desert, that means it's not back at their main base for them to move to the front with.
