Amen to last 3 posts. *EDIT: Err, the 3 above Fritz that is, lol* Anytime I happeend to have a couple |TG| memebers in my squad, none of them listened that great or really did anything amazing. This is when I was SLing and when I was just in a squad with them. I see much more teamwork from random pubees in other servers, and lots more from the classic GH South days.

Im always getting good tactical play on TG and I mean I wasnt saying I just quit when I see him I meant to say that I just mean he plays with a good grp of friends and sometimes if my team cant match the play of teamwork then I just go to TG or another server. Im not making him like god. I just perfer TG servers. GH is great I personally get better games on TG.

LOL. Not bloody likely. Feel free to disparage a lack of teamwork by people new to the mod, but since working together as a team and staying tactically focused are, you know, the whole point of wearing the TG tag, I highly doubt the veracity of that quote.

TG gets a lot of people trying out the mod for the first time(s), and the teamwork will improve (on all servers) with more leadership by PR vets. If any group of vets is already pining for the good ol days when you can just play together and ignore newer like-minded players coming to the mod, I'm afraid that's not a great recipe for prolonging the lifecycle of the mod. Regardless of which server the mod is played on, we should all focus on retaining the best team players and educating the new ones.

Sorry for the off-topic post, but my reading of some of the quotes in this thread complaining about lack of teamwork and "server quality" illustrates the main point that it's specifically a lack of working with new people that perpetuates a lack of teamwork/tight play.

If battle hardened vets want to play on small servers with only themselves, the situation of more and more new faces not learning to play the mod the right way will only get worse with time. Just my opinion, having played since only .4.

That's cool, and that was definitely not my intent. But I will defend my boys when our teamwork or tactical focus is challenged. :) Nothing personal.

There are plenty of players for multiple servers out there - I'm just hoping everyone keeps focus on training/educating new, potential great teamplayers instead of clustering together in single squads or single servers even. I'll check out GH as well just to see what it's like (I haven't played on it yet).

That is probably because TG is the only serve that is consistently full for American players. Unless you want to sacrifice ping or go on a short respawn server as an American, then TG is really the only server up. That is why I said they have a monopoly on the servers right now. And with good teamplayers come a lot of idiots, and the kick script doesn't help things for dedicated SLs like myself who get kicked if we are on for any length of time.

If we had a GloryHoundz on the East Coast, I think a lot of the British and European players would come over because their pings would be better, but a West Coast server won't have that much of a pull.

Also, we need a gameplay night like on Friday or something.

And TG guys, stop stalking people are criticizing them all the time if they say one thing negative or opinionated about your server. I have led squads with TG guys who have not stuck together before, so you guys aren't perfect.

This thread is getting close to locking imho :) I mean.. The original topic was fine, but it's degrading into a flamefest, methinks.

solodude23 wrote:You really couldn't remember the password, "teamwork"? :p The passworded server was actually full quite often now and then, and it was mostly forums members so it was great. It sustained itself quite well I must say. Plus. there is always the other GH server.

PS: Why are so many PR servers located in Texas?
No, I put the password in a couple of times and in caps as well, and it didn't work. Then I asked someone and they said it might of been changed and I never found it on the forums.

Ah, that was for a week or so while the promo video was being shot :) That ended up taking way longer than I thought.
