Yea I think North Korea would be a really good choice.
They use quite a bit of dated Equipment though so it would require alot of modeling.

Hills of Hamyong.
But they're fighting against PLA "Volunteers" in that sector, who have been sent south to support the NKs, explaining why they carry Chinese weapons.

Honestly, I don't think this mod needs to even consider another faction at this point. PR is already working on alot more factions than most other mods (6 at the very least). That's not including the "sub-factions" such as the U.S Army & Marines. The current sides could definately use alot more work before moving on.
From a "story" perspective though, we can still have a whole load of countries involved. I can imagine North & South Korea would be at it again, with U.S and Chinese supporting their respective "allies". Alot of people talk about the MEC attacking Israel. China would probably invade various lands around the pacific, dragging in countries like Taiwan, Japan, the Philipines and potentially Austrailia. I honestly don't see a country which is joked about being run by the Russian Mob involved too much. At best they would probably try to get their economy back in line by selling weapons and such to the MEC and other countries (Which explains the MEC T-90 tanks and such). European nations might help the U.S and U.K if they saw the MEC/Chinese a threat to them (Perhaps the MEC are advancing through Turkey or North Africa?).
All in all, lots of possibilites story wise, though just because they're inlcuded in the story doesn't mean the mod has to represent them. After all, not every WW2 game/mod lets you play French, Polish and Italian armies do they?

Fair points.. I just think additional armies, if any, should be based on which armies are active and likely to be involved.. that list I posted of Coalition forces is ranked on manpower de-ployed.. so whilst a Polish army may not be overly exciting in it's equipment, it's more realistic than having France, Germany or Russia, who are being pretty much pacifists these days.

ok, pr has 6 factions , but they only made one(and isnt completed at all) , insurgents and militia are from sf like the light chooper of the mecs and pla , and t62/insurgents apc/a10 are from USI .

germany is one of the biggest suppliers of troops in a-stan
still,if at all, my vote would go for a nato/euro force

Maybe the U.N.? Who knows, they might get deployed...if it was in real life, they probably would, since then the fighting factions would wreak havoc upon Middle East...

Yeah, I guess german army is a no go, I just want to see those G36 Assault rifles in combat damn it lol. Anyway U.N. is a good idea, maybe somewhere along the road there should be a African conflict. But for now, I think North Korea would be a good add to PR.

UN troops wouldnt really work. They're peace keepers, not peace enforcers. When they come under fire they're supposed to disenguage and fall back to safty as fast as possible.
Now to me that dosent sound to exiting, to be honest.

@bobfish check your sources about armies in Iraq, Hungary is still there, in fact we donated seventy-seven T-72 tanks to the Iraqi army.
IMHO the Israeli army isn't a good idea, they only operate in a restricted area and we have a couple of desert-maps already. Germany would look nice, however the Bundeswehr isn't an offensive army at all looking at its current profile. The Russians however would be a cool addition since they don't participate in any alliance and they have their characterstic arsenal.
p.s. We shouldn't be too eager though, first I'd like to see a nice, bugless and balanced realistic mod!

(keep up the good work r-devs!)

Germany is for now far to uptight to engage in real combat missions. They still have to much issues with engaging in offensive real warfare, with their track record and all that.
For the Germans to take part the MEC should at least attack Berlin or something.

LOL
Well, Russia v Chechnya would be a nice change of pass, bit like Insurgents but less suicidal

Not always true..... depends on the ROE.... Im not sure but I think Liberia is an example where UN troops had a peace enforcement ROE.

most realistic scenario of germany fighting against the mec would be in afghanistan, where a huge amount of troops are stationed - and soon also some tornados

Yeah, would be nice, if only for the MG3 and their camo of cours. What kind do they use over there, the usual "dotted" one?
Btw i ve heard that those Tornados arent allowed to drop bombs when they supporting Nato troops. Only dry runs.

they will fight in the near future. i tell you that. our dear politicians are pushing in this direction and if it had been for merkel instead of schröder we'd be in iraq right now. not that i would like that. PR is nice, war in reality suxxx hard imho.
