Ignore the briefing, it doesn't matter, rename Mao Valley if you want and place it in Taiwan. It's just that the map fits perfectly with the faction. Because it would be better to have more then one map, with different terrains, using the Taiwanese Army. You map is the urban, so I thought Mao Valley would be perfect as a jungle map for it. Also, becuase Mao Valley is already done, we could get the Taiwanese forces in .6!'[R-MOD wrote:Griffon2-6']Eh, I don't know, how would Taiwan get there? China would certainly have a naval blockade in the Taiwan Strait. Any plane that tries to fly through would surely get shot down or at least engaged. A US attack would be the only retaliation Taiwan would have.

Great'[R-MOD wrote:Griffon2-6']Ok, let's set it in the Taiwan Highlands, where remaining divisions escaped to. I think that'll be pretty realistic, so yeah, the conversion is no problem, especially because it's an infantry map.
I can get you the other face skin and 1st person skins on Friday, then hopefully we can get it into the next .6 build.

Yep, I got your map, and I can't get it to start up. When I click "join game", I get a CTD. It's just a matter of placing it in the "levels" folder in PR, right? Or am I too n00b and have messed up?
What you can do, is just get the map in, and then update it with the weapons later, right?
As for the models, I'm currently starting teaching myself how to skin them, so I can try to get them working...

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Yeah, exactly. The pistol and other weapon KP is making are not used in the base factions, as such they are not mission critical. I think you should convert Mao Valley, and we can try to get it in .6. We can add the weapons later, for .7 along with your map and armour/planes.KP wrote: What you can do, is just get the map in, and then update it with the weapons later, right?
EDIT:
Oh, and I also realized that I need to texture the flag on the rally points. Where are the rally point textures?

As an honorary beta tester of Griffons' Taipei map I have to report the same type of CTD as mentioned above.
Do you have an update on what may be causing these CTDs?
I've been looking through the files for erroneous references, i e faulty pathways to important files. So far I've come up with nothing but a headache since there are just so many files to look through...
Makes me respect the coders of PR even more.... They have to work with this and worse every time!
Btw, those skins DO look great!
