I just wanted to ask the same question, I really really want to try out the G3 with optics.

What ever happened to "The Greenzone" map by DEDMON and "Falcon's Nest" and a few other maps that were in production before?

Warrior and Challenger 2 look very, very nice.
Two assault maps... What is the new map count looking like? Please, oh please throw in some scenario type maps.
EDIT: I just reread the map descriptions. Are they both scenario maps? "Destroy the communications equipment" and "destroy the military hardware" sure sound like it. Awesomeness!
we already have maps that are ready for Scenario (ie, Operation Ghost Train) but the game mode code itself is not ready yet.

1. dedmon is not a r-dev, it dose not mean even if he did ever finnish the map up to the standared required it would still need to be over looked by us before it is used. There are among 1000s of finnished public maps out there, it dosent mean we use all of them...
2. Falcons nest was never in a offical update like these maps, if they do not apear in a offical update then they might be dropped, at the time Thomazz was a R-CON when making that map also. Hence the reason my map is not in this update because I still do not know if all the new things we are trying in the map will work, alot of PCO (proof of concept) stuff in my new map and if the testers find some major bugs with it we would not be able to release it, even thou its more than ready for screenshots to go on the page we cant get your guys hope up about it yet as there is still a high chance it will be dropped, and there fore if we did that after an offical update like this you guys would be going on at us for years saying "where the hell is that map rhino was making, i was so looking forward to it and it just went...".

Would be interesting if there was way to mix this up a bit

Nice update! one problem though, i kinda liked having the short spawn servers because it kept all the tking noobs in one place, where they could not annoy the rest of the us. now they will all be on the 'real' servers tking, disobeying orders and just being smacktards

not really, once they find out the mod is not what they want, they will go back to vbf2. or they will get the full PR exsperance and turn into a proper PR player. what we have now is ppl joining these short respawn servers for the first time and thinking thats the PR real deal.

We'll have some sort of profile for a "less hardcore" server settings. This is a profile defined by configuration adjustment and provided by the mod devs based on what we will learn from server admins in discussions we're engaging with them in. This wont be a 10s spawn server, but will have some slightly relaxed settings and can never be an ABR ranked server.
wrt the G3 w optics and such, those will make it in when they are ready .. which may or may not be v0.6.
there are also a few things in the v0.6 build that are proof of concept that may or may not make the release, so we just need to see how things go over the next couple of test builds.
wrt the Commander changes they are in an alpha stage and we have a few things to sort out before we will know if everything we want to try is going to work. More details once we sort them out.

Can't wait for the new version! I doubt you would move off the glorious path you started with, I love the concept in itself, the gameplay is the reflection. No worries and whine here, Godspeed!

I would definitely like for the minigun on BH to be improved. It's ok now, but there is not much splash damage and thats what makes the minigun so powerful. The damage is fine, it's the splash damage that you guys need to improve on.
Thanks
