Any tips for when you can't see who in the hell is shooting at you, and you keep getting killed over and over and over?

1. Spawn elsewhere
2. if 1 is not a viable option then try mobing in different directions to determine where the enemy is firing from ( this will cost several lives )
2a. Inform squad and team mates as to enemy's postion and flank him/her.
3. ***** to HQ

Let me correct ArmedDrunk&Angry.

If none of the options are left. Switch teams.

1. Keep spacing/distance from each other to avoid being naded altogether

2.Cover fire for you medics doing their job, or smoke grenade, the M203 smoke is prefered, as it "deploys" quicker than the grenade...excuse the grammar :lol:

3. Use line formation or wave formation with spacing of course
Line:

- - - - - - - ->

Wave:

- ->

- ->

- ->

Keep in mind, You stand out a lot more when you are running around.
Keep in mind, It's a lot easier to notice movement and spot an enemy when you are stationary.
If you find your being killed over and over and you don't know where from,
Your probably not using enough cover.

Whenever you stop somewhere/anywhere always stop behind cover and take in your surroundings, check for likely enemy positions (behind corners, rocks, rooftops, inside buildings, the most likely route from an enemy flag) and any movement,
If when you stop, you find your being fired upon (and don't know where from)
move quickly and zig-zag to a new position (with cover)
You should be able to hear which general direction the fire is coming from,
Stay low and try and flank your enemy (using cover)
if you've got no cover around use smoke to mask your movements.
(remember to let the smoke build before you make your move)

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot...Use your squadmates, tell them where you think the enemy is,
Communicate and work as a team....
NO 1 RULE : Communicate and work as a TEAM.

Also worth noting, If you have an older GFX card or a really high ping
your at a disadvantage compared to people with newer GFX cards or lower pings,
in that, it takes longer for your computer to digest the info and display it on your screen.
I used to find with my old GFX card that I would be killed before even making it all the way around a corner,
because what I was seeing was a fraction of a sec behind what everyone else were seeing.

Maybe some of this you know, maybe some you don't.
Hope this helps. :wink:

Project Reality is only 1/2 as fun as it used to be. It is so popular 80% of the people are noobs. I am not the greatest player but they are driving me crazy!! :35_rip:

Listen to the squad leader and commander. Now if we could only find a few that are any good. ;-)

If you can offer any kind of service to your team, tell them where it is and/or if they have to notify you to get it.

In Assault on M(forgot the name) when ever we take a Tower Back or are Defending it and I'm a Rifleman, I'll always get my three ammo bags down in the base of the tower and announce on Team chat "Bottom part of East(Or West) Tower has ammo supply."

I may have a 50-60 Combat score, a 1:4 K :D ratio, but damnit if my Teamwork score isn't 200+

Yeah--tried all those tips to solve my problem, but either a) they don't work, or b) I'm dead before I can do them.

On Operation Ghost Train, I can't see shit, yet somehow I stand out like a sore thumb to the enemy.

Advance slower, and take your time, then.

It might sounds ridiculous, but I found that the best way to stay alive is to not want to die. If you don't actually want to get killed in the game, you won't want to run out into the open, take unnecessary risks, or carelessly run through enemy territory.

QFT, I always think that, problem comes, when there are 6 enemies thinking the opposite - killing me! :p

Well, does work and saves the K/D ratio and it feels so nice, when you know, you didnt take the easy way out of just respawning instead of taking 6 mins to walk those virtual 900 m to base :)

I was reading a post regarding ARMA and the use of tactics. And the only issue regarding ambushes and such, Is that most players will engage a target too early because they are 'realistically' in range. Thus, comprimising position and squad effectiveness. Please please please help me find like minded tactitioners! I am resonably new to the mod (and i love it). Just sick of rambo style kids getting me shot!

I've participated on 28CDM and THOR,
Anywhere else you can recommend server wise?

Well, you appear to be british. You have tried the standard IGI, Thors or Tactical Gamer?

Cheers for the reply so quick. I used to Use tactical gamer on SF and Regular BF2. The [502nd] are looking around for a new home as we have left BF2 and CoD2 for the time being. We've all served in the armed forces one way or another and we need to find the most realistic thing out there. I'm glad i've found PR. Unfortunately so have a few run 'n gunners!
