Oh shoot. A brick wall... Maybe they'd arrest them for aiding the insurgency or something...

for everyone who has been bashing the civilian idea, civilians are a very REAL concern on the modern battlefield, and if you'll notice this is project REALity, and as for civilians blocking tanks, that only hurts the civilians, the US don't lose points for vehicle kills. unless you've playtested the new concept don't tear it apart.

I think the ambulance (if implemented) should have couple seats in the back for patients. Why?
When you revive someone, inside the ambulance he could be healed safe from the gunfire. So, make it heal players inside if ambulance is manned with paramedic class.

Edit. Sorry, all of this was in the original suggestion as well, misread :(

Btw, Is it possible to have players from different teams in same vehicle? :D
I'm glad you mentioned this. I was planning to expand the idea and add this point as will.
The ambulance could have 3 seats, one is the driver’s seat and the 2nd seat is where the 2nd civil paramedic is stationed. The 3rd seat would be for the seriously wounded; as we all know in PR when you revive someone with the defibrillator, that person is not automatically fit to continue with what he was doing and needs to get further treatment by standing 1m of a medic holding the medic pack. This is why the 3rd seat will be a handy alternative. After the seriously injured players is brought back to life using the defibrillator, he can then follow the civilian paramedic to the back of the ambulance where the 2nd medic will treat him until he’s fit to go back.

Thanks for the serious posts guys.

a paramedic would have

-defibrillator(with only one shoot )
-one field dresing

no medic bag , they need to be close to an ambulance to healt US/insurgents

also , this mean that insurgents need to be reviable , but only civiliand can request the paramedic kit

also the ambulance need to be 4 seats , driver , medic and 2 injureds

I think it would be better if it only took one injured player at a time...
also expanding on the idea it would be cool if the "hospital" building had aid stations of some sort inside, kinda like the ammo dumps but slowly heals the player. this could simulate a working hospital.

If only the ambulance healed insurgents, the USMC would destroy the ambulance!

A hospital would be the simplest way to do this.

Oh damn! We soo need this. We can also have U.N inspectors, too make sure the Allied forces are operating within the U.N mandate.

Ok, i kid about the U.N bit, but i would have fun cruising around in a ambulance.

I'll gladly circle around battlefield while aiding injured and it could be fun if vehicle is fast enough, for example sliding on turns :=)

I like the diea of insurgents having a parqamedic/ambulance setup. the depth you've taken it to with the ressing only people with civilian kits i'm not so comfortable with.

I think a paramedic could work in the same way as a civilian kit with respect to americans shooting them.

what is stopping the MEC and the US from just shooting the civils for fun or blowing up the ambulance?.. there are alot of retards out there that will, i think it needs a high tk level, and the paramedic kits need distinctive uniforms, or they might just look like insurgents running at u with duel pistols or somthing:S

Blue helmets (not realistic, UN) will make a difference between life or death for hte ambulance drivers.

i think its a cool idea but it needs alot of assets (working ambulance, lots of coding for civies, etc)

keep up the discussion, who knows if its possible but maybe if one of the coders likes it and if you could find someone to model an ambulance it could somehow be put in :)

just my opinion though, im sure egg might have another opinion hehe

I would really like to see this replace the docter kit, because if you have that kind of medical training, chances are you're to valuable to be on the front lines. the uniform should be a blue or white jumpsuit.
my question is if paramedics are neutral, what keeps other insurgents from using an ambulance as a carbomb, i mean if the US/British shoot it they loose points but if they don't they're likely to be blown up.

@FuzzHead: In the comunity modding section we had this transpoter, this could be skinned as a ambulance car
