Of course everyone who played it would need ten+ gigs of RAM and the best video card ever made.
Ive never played any of those games cept for recon. I think mine would be the ground combat of Rainbow six vegas and the air combat of like Ace combat 0(its not real but its quick, easy to get into and never fails to be fun). As for the tanks and other transport i would stay with the PR system of things with some tweaks to the damage system.

They're the most realistic sims around.

I will never ever play vBF2 again.
I do agree with the original poster though PR does seem to be more demanding on my rig, and I also had to turn settings down to cut down on the lag...and thats with 2gig RAM and a 7800 GS, I hate to think what the poor buggers with less than average systems have to do!
I have a suspicion however that the lag experienced isn't all down to GFX settings, and is very likely to be the fact servers are running too many slots for the box to handle.

I played on a vBF no-vehicle Karkand server during PR breaks, but found out, that I just confuse both then..looking for kits in vBF and occasional bunnyhopping in PR, whenever I get shot at

...
I do like PR better due weapons...I had to empty a whole clip to kill someone in vBf2...and they never defend flags, thats what I hate about BF2! Just freaking flag hopping with some firefights...damn idiots

If the ground combat was like R6Vegas then count me out

, ive seen more tactics in a foosball game.

Rainbow six is the shittiest Rainbow six out. It's made for consoles and shouldn't be considered a Rainbow six.
Ace Combat is an Arcade shoot'em up plane game.
If you haven't played any realism game, I think you're in the wrong forums.
PR is trying to move away from what made BF2 arcade.

Hmm.. DCon is the gayness of BF2 x10! Smacktards rejoice!

I tried going back when my comp. kept CTDing, but after 5 minutes I just couldn't stand BFv. It is just uncomparable to PR. I felt like I was playing a game for the handicapped or somthing. Everything felt soooooo n00bish I have never tried it since.

How is that a bad thing? The rainbow six cover system is awesome. The only reason why the online is like all crazy in because the maps are so small. Imagine a Basrah with the cover and shoot system. It would be great.
EDIT: well maybe not i just thought of the "corner campers" ok nvm the RBvegas system.

am I the only one running on 512mb of RAM? lol. at least my vid card is decent (X1600, yes, only decent). i've got everything on the lowest possible and lags only on some maps (Al Basrah especially), but it's the same on vanilla.

Seems like anything between x600 and x800 Nvidia are shit and not stable.
