also 5.56 vs 7.62 is debatable because 7.62 can go straight through a target and not do as much damage as a 5.56 that tumbles and squashes into a biger surface area on impact.
But what about the affect of body armour????
Presently due to the BF2 engine, PR cant realisticaly model modern body armour.
Becuase all those out there that complain it is too hard to kill players, consider that the average modern body armour can take around 3 - 7.62mm rounds (armour with insert plates), with some possibly being able to take 5 (US version ext.).
Although, it is not possible to model the affects of bullet damage to arms, in a perfect PR, battles would be much more exciting and horrendous, with each playing have 4 limbs that could be disabled, entire 8 man squads coudl be imbolised, all just waiting to die of blood loss........sorry i got dreaming, but i intend to produce a full copy of all my PR dreams in 4 ish months after ins and 1.o release.

Is that 3 7.62x39 or 7.62x51? How does ARMA handle it? I have the US demo but I haven't played it way too much.

LMAO!!!!!
Please do not tell me you are using Wikipedia as reference!
And BTW, Recoil on BF2 depends on the mouse sensitivity.
High sensitivity = Low recoil
Low sensitivity = high recoil
For those of you who have a G7, G5, Mx518 or Mx 510 would know that (when changing sensitivity "on the fly"!)

I know, that's pretty funny. "Dude, you obviously don't understand that I am a 9th level blackbelt at Google searching, so my facts are ALWAYS spot-on".

Any credibility you had went right out the window along with your sanity when you mentioned Wikipedia as your source. One moment, im going to edit Wikipedia to say that a 7.62mm round isnt able to penetrate skin. Then thats my source and you lose.

Do people forget that wikipedia is more often than not factually correct?
If someone writes some nonsense it gets deleted fairly quickly.

people underestimate the mp5 because it uses pistol ammunition. it is one of the few submachine guns to penetrate kevlar body armor and some types of ceramic plates.
thats why you see special operations police, navy seals using them

really??
ALthough, this is probaly more questionable with the very latest body armour, mabey with stuff developed during the 90's but the body armour world is developing very quickly in terms of the strenght armour can offer and the wieght aspect.

People are nice, notice the post count of the ***. Also notice he hasn't posted lately. ******** don't usually last long on this forum.
Anyways, I can't believe this thread hasn't been locked yet. This has been brought up a ton of times already and now that the argument has lost wind there is no reason at all for this thread to stay open.
