Guys, STOP this ridiculous arguing over who has won what, who has helped who, and all that other bullshit; we're staunch allies with each other so stop the hate. I don't want this damn thread being closed because of stupid arguments. I think the idea I came up with is definately plausible for PR and I don't want a couple people bitching to get it closed.

Let's see some more CONSTRUCTIVE positive or negative feedback about this idea.

Ok I would love to see this map, but to be made as say... a real combat operation, just doesn't seem plausible, come on... its about as ridiculous as USMC trying to take over Canada...

Rephrased, I would love this map but, come on, do you think anyone would take this seriously ( R-DEV's at least ) in making a UK v US map?

Come on people, I know the operations vs PLA and MEC are most likely not going to be existant in the near future, but they are LOOSELY based on what could happen.

Training Map: Models/Work =/= The Finished Product ( Not equal in the middle )

but the MEC is alive in this mod so i will leave it 2 the devs

Guys, lighten up...OBVIOUSLY, this map idea wouldn't be a realistic, but rather just for fun. It should be considered almost like an "easter egg" type map, just for laughs. Needless to say, I, among many others, would love playing a US vs. UK map.

And what is up with all this hostile country fanboy-ism around here? It honestly needs to stop.

I'd rather see a MARINES vs. ARMY map when the ARMY is released. It could be like war games or something.

I'm against it. If someone wants to map it as a community addition, that's fine, but I would be pretty disappointed to see this added as an official map.

If you are talking about individual conflicts, the US has done quite well. Unfortunately those of you who just love to blindly take shots at the US are completely missing the point of this discussion.

Anyway, nevermind just the US vs UK. Just using your favorite army against one that you don't normally fight against is interesting. What about China vs. Insurgants. MEC vs. Insurgants, and so on. It's a novelty. For fun.

Again... read what I said about how many of the other nations fighting against each other are unrealistic. And as far as I know, the game, the mod, and the maps are all supposed to be for fun, I don't know any other reason why Project Reality exists; it's all just for fun.

This mod is not being used for actual training purposes (as far as I know...). This mod was created to enhance the realism of Battlefield 2 which in turn creates more fun.

And to you guys STILL bitching about how the US is better or how the UK is better, please cut it out. PM someone about it or create a different thread.

May as well throw in MEC vs. China as well. Been mention before, but there you go.

I wouldn't want to see a US vs. UK map until the UK faction has been fully fleshed out. As it stands, the Challenger 2 MBT isn't complete, neither is the UK's APC, and all they have for airpower is the weaponless Merlin slick. Unless you make something similar to Ghost Train, the USMC would be hard to beat.

Then again... Whats the win lost ratio for the USMC on Al Basrah? Ok, the USMC would be hard for the current UK faction to beat if everyone didn't fight over the aircraft... I swear some games the USMC is it's own worst enemy.

I dont think the US has won any War.... You lost against the Vietnam, and in Somalia you didnt do much but kill many counter rebels... many innocent died aswell... I actually have met a guy who were shot in the leg by an Soldier down in Somalia, he was only a little Kid... seen his scar... and it doesnt look very nice

As the US has proven so very well, wars arnt decided by KDRs. American forces failed thier objectives in Somalia, too.

Did anyone say anything about the US's capability to take on the Iraqi army? No. The point is the US has been less effective in curbing insurgent activivty in its sectors than the other forces in Iraq.

American Revolution - British strategic withdrawal to free forces to fight in the Napolionic wars. Two points:

1. Not a soley US victory (as pointed out eariler you had some serious help from the French [something Americans always seem to forget]

2. Not fought with the full force of the British army.

War Of 1812 - No victory claimed by either side, and the US was the agressor.

Objective of US forces in the War of 1812: To annex Canada into the US.
Mission Status: Falied.

And not only did British forces sucessfully defend Canada, they burned down Washington DC as well.

Hmm, well, there is some presence of muslims on the far west of China...could also be China vs. Militia, since those guys are even closer..Uzbekistan for example....
