Brown Brown is cocaine and gunpowder, Khat is what they were chewing in Somalia, guys getting shot 5 or 6 times without dropping, couple that with the armour piercing rounds the US were using at the time and youre emptying half a clip into someone to knock em down.....christ, its vBF2!

Well, the 9mm round doesnt really have "stopping power" (even though stopping power doesnt entirely exist) so thats probably the root of the complaints.

Yep the problem there is that the bullet goes straight through, so a big part of the bullets kinetic energy goes out of the body too. This is why expanding bullets do so much more damage and have a higher stopping power, they don't go through so all the energy will be directed into that poor little guy infront of the bullet.
But in war fmj bullets are always used. (there is a treaty about this)
But still one accurate bullet and anyone goes down. (a hit to the brain/spinal cord and they are dead before they hit the ground)

I think boosting the pistol power by 25% would be good since yes, it is quite weak, laughably weak. But just a small boost so that a guy that fell down a slightly too large of a cliff or got shot once and that there bandage didn't get him to 100% can die in just one less bullet.
Good thing is, HS = 1 shot kill. I can't tell you the number of times I go into a close encounter and dropped the assault rifle wielding sniper hater with just one little click from my pistol.
But, in closing: If you get into a direct, face to face, encounter as a Sniper, you have failed as a sniper. Out of the pistol head shots I've made, only one is remembered has a direct encounter, and even that was a cheap fight.
We just got a flag, I was following my team to the next one, and out of no where an enemy spawns in. Turns out, some asshat put a Rally Point INSIDE A ROCK and his squad kept spawning on it. I ended up camping it so they couldn't get to our flag while we were fighting to their next one.

ok, in general rules of thumb, i dont let them get too close to me either but this HAS to have happened at some point to you, seriously no word of a lie i would put £1000 (thats one thousand great british pounds) on the fact that EVERYONE, dont give a flying f#*k who they are, has been flanked at one point or another, read the whole thread dude, i state on the first page i dont want this to get into an arguement about other peoples gameplay abilities, simply put (AGAIN!!!) i wanted this thread about the power of ALL the pistols in this game, (granted some are more powerful than others, but i feel the lot of them have the collective power of a bunch of cellery right now) In my oppinion, right now, they are too weak,.... END OF.... if you want to get into a rant about who is a better player, you or x-y-z, contact me on msn messenger because, in the most polite way possible.... THIS FORUM IS NEITHER THE TIME NOR THE PLACE to start an "im better than you" thread
edit: in somalia khat was used as an "adult transition drug" in times of conflict it was coated in pcp to provide a 'superhero' effect, i can buy pure khat leaf at a shop not 5 minutes from my house, what they used in somaililand was a totally different substance...... just to clear up the point of this post.

As someone who's used khat, I can tell you that that's absolute bullshit. Maybe they were getting shot 5 or 6 times without dropping, but that wasn't from khat.
Khat is *slightly* more powerful a stimulant than ephedrine. About like having 3 Monsters, but with "cleaner" effects (caffeine's a very dirty stimulant, which is why it doesn't turn into much of a drug of abuse).
Effects were much weaker than cocaine. Come to think of it, since most of you probably haven't done cocaine, or any drugs apart from caffeine/sugar/alcohol/nicotine, I guess the best thing to compare it to would be a "dirtier" Ritalin. Ever seen a hyper middle-schooler take 5 bullets? I doubt it.
Drugs are always sensationalized by the media. Even moreso when it's an "ethnic" drug few readers will have tried.

It's not the khat. It's because they are Somalians...

My KDR with most pistols is around 3:1. I seem to have excellent luck with all pistols except the MEC pistol. I can't get any kills with that thing. I don't know if the sights are off or what, but I just hate that pistol.

bear in mind that although in your country, ritilin is used to calm down hyper school kids, in mine its also used to ween heroin addicts from thier addiction.... that s#*t is seriosly powerful. and fior the record, khat, in its american form lacks one key ingredient.... PCP, and trust me, i have seen a guy on pcp get stabbed 3 times and still kick the s#*t outta the guy that stabbed him..... he didnt even realise he had been punched, let alone stabbed 3 times.
for the record, to anyone that wishes to doubt that, (i know the scepticism of a lot of people on this forum,) I can provide you with my front line door badge number, my personal C.P badge number (both verifiable via the S.I.A website) and even a scan of the hospital report.... your shout

Bullshit. Military police (including criminal investigations personnel), security forces, crew-served weapon gunners (medium machineguns, mortars, man-portable rocket launchers/recoilless rifles/ATGMs), tankers, aviators/aircrew, Navy VBSS teams (manned by trained personnel from each ship), snipers and certain combat arms officers and NCOs carry sidearms, as well as special operations forces. Most troops will never even qualify with the pistol.
Pistol strength has also been discussed to death. Please do a search.
