Are you on a router?

I think that's what causes it to be a bit slower, I've always found using the PC directly connected to the internet downloads things quicker.

No seriously, are you using uTorrent? If not, get it, then we talk on.
If yes, check the little triangle on the bottom right, if its yellow, it seems like the port(s) are blocked.

Thats why I hate torrents, wont get it for another 8 hours

edit: seems a port is being blocked but I don't know the first thing about opening ports, and I don't want to mess with it....

Not that hard, go to the Speed Guide under "Options" and test different ports there. If they are blocked, you can find a link on the testing website with a guide how to forward them with different routers.

Well, Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo off, mine said, that its gonne be down by 7 pm, its 6:20, and it says 4 hours left...not to mention the damn connection changing every 5 minutes from 12 Kbps to 120...sigh..

Also, 1 Gb downloaded and 500 Mb uploaded..if it didnt upload, I'd had the file by now....grrr...
