To me this just is really odd. Why release a single new map? It has been a while since they released a patch, there doesn't seem to be any clear direction on a new patch. To release some map in conjunction with a major company like intel is just fishy. If this is simply an advertising stunt then I think it is a good idea on their part (blatantly obvious but there here to make money). Give the community something free and slap on some adds. If this is to appease the community in the face of no patch or release of source code then it is laughable. Im not sure how much shelf life they intend for BF2 but it remains unclear, this just makes it harder to tell.

For Mother USA? Ok that doesn't sound that right...

Well I guess it's just for morale, like Russians do in CoD?

Well, what's he gonna hoist on the pole once he gets to the CP? Somebody has to bring a flag along!

How can it take the collaboration of two huge companies and a large injection of cash to come up with a mediocre map that is outclassed by several orders of magnitude by the maps we have in Project Reality, which were created *without funding*, by a team of talented individuals as a labour of love in a fraction of the time?
I ask myself that question everytime I play PR.

We've got the creative juices and dedication? :)

And by creative juices I mean alcohol.

And by dedication I mean the drive to keep the hooker and blow fund well funded.

'[R-MOD wrote:Resjah']lol, I think you copy and pasted the wrong link there buddy

EA's new map
'Hooray, another map. Nice job guys.'

It's so easy to tell someone who hasn't tried other mods.

Vanilla BF2 used to be my favourite game by a mile, now, after playing PR, it's a complete and utter joke.

Says who?

I highly doubt that there is going to be a new patch for BF2.

Well, it could be just a patch to include the new map(s) into the game, so you wouldnt have to download them separately, then half of the players wouldnt have them, while another half did....

:) That is an incredibly horrible idea from a community point of view.

It would be much smarter to just release it as a standalone map, since having people download a patch just to have a map they may not play is illogical.

Those were included with real patches, you were saying they might release a patch that only has the new map. Quite the opposite.

If DICE truely had a patch in the works they would have announced it by now. Its not in there best interest to keep it a secret.

I thought id play this map last night to look see what its all about.

Only thing was after like 2 minutes i was like.., great its an armour map!.., hang on.., wheres teh mega zoom and huge view distances.., better get myself a crewman kit.., oh.., none of those either...,bah this sux ..., then i booted up PR OB :P

All in all i gave it 5 minutes gameplay..., now i feel all dirty and intel ad abused.

I hope the PR mods will forgive my lapse in judgement ;)
