No the russian forces used to shout "NOT ONE STEP BACK" which really is appropriate since if they took one step back the would be shot by their commanding officer.

Maybe he meant they were pricks?

So this one marine comes on to a forum I go to and starts calling an army guy a fat fuck because he was dropped due to heart problems, and told him that he would be eating cookie dough in his mothers basement while doing chores for his next graphics card.

Then I stomped him and he starts to spam lemonparty. I guess marines are good people until they find out they are part of the navy, and they try and be elitist to cover it up.

uhh im pretty sure that is only one case... thats like seeing a guy in the army who does something like that (with the size of both the army and the marines there must be plenty (infact the differences in size should statistically mean more pricks in the army)) and then generalize the army as being full of pricks. the reason the marines are proud of the marine corps is because theyre marines, the reason members of the US army are proud of the army is because they are part of the army.

The truth is that they both serve important roles in this countries military. and generalizing either in a poor way is wrong. especially one who is part of a forum community since over the internet, you can never be sure.

so, lets stop being elitist about any service and agree that no matter what branch youre in (or what branch your part of the service stemmed from and works closely with in your reference to marines/navy) you are contributing heavily to your society since youve vollunteered for service to your country.

Aye, I know. But that guy was one of many. And what that guy did was out of bloody line.

You find dicks in all walks of life. Most don't enlist, but some do. It is as someone said, WRONG to generalise because of 1 or 2 specific incidents, I have personaly dealt with marines and army from many countries and guess what, some were dicks! Most were not! All were proud to be who and what they are. Life is shit and some people are dicks, let's not become dicks like the bad ones. Judge not another, or at least judge each individual on their own merits.

troels there are pricks all over the place, finding one or two in the marines doesnt make them all pricks. im not arguing that what he did was out of line but when you call them elitist and then make rash comments about them then you are acting in just the way you accuse them to be in the first place.

Let me set things straight: I have never written off the entire corps as pricks, I just stated that all marines I met were pricks.

Well this is turning into a real slug fest of spam and name calling. Hence... Closure of thread.
