Why not make an 8 km'er out of Al Muhammadiyah Island? Just a small island with tons of AA and the US has a carrier battle group (USS Nimitz, with 20 F-15's on a 120-man server) and the MEC will just get a bunch of long range SAMs and AA guns. Both sides have ground vehicles like tanks and APC's.

Is it possible to create maps which instead of being squared, are rectangular?

If a Chinese armada captures the Panama canal, then the could go through it and on to the Falklands. Then, the Chinese could launch an attack on the Falklands (this is where the battle starts with the Chinese attacking). Kind of like Wake in vBF2.

Jesus, you guys are gonna kill m computer. All these huge maps are gonna require mega updates for me, new graphics card, new this, new that, basically a whole new computer. Worth it though!

Also, why the hell would China invade The Falkland Islands? There's nothing there. Britain only defended it because the people there are British and the Armed Forces therefore have a duty to defend them. So China would invade the Falklands for what reason...?

I like the Guernsey idea though. Maybe don't have it as Guernsey though, just have it as some island in the Persian Sea, British V MEC. That'd be cool.

lol, ppl are soo blind :p

All you do if you want that is make the combat zone cut off the area you dont want ppl to play in, so you can make a rectangle doing that :p

Yeah, and how much chances does the PLA have to get over all the defences in the Pacific and capture the Panama, not to mention how to get down the Atlantic to the Falklands, where they would also have to get through the British Navy, since it probably would get deployed there by the time PLA reaches Atlantic?

IMO, PLA capturing Wake is unrealistic enough

I rather see a PLA vs. Militia map, since the country is bordering with former Soviet republics...

I hate to break it to you, but China already owns the Panama Canal. :-(

I thought there was oil off shore from the Falklands ?
And my impression was that the British Navy was quite small right now and unlikely to grow larger.

the Royal Navy has been, and still is a huge key the the British armed forces. Maybe not so much now as in the past but the RN is still one of the most powerful navys in the world. I wouldn't underestimate them, + 2 new carriers coming in afew years for the RN :D

no offense intended
But really if the Peoples Liberation Army Navy ( sorry had to do it ) was on the move I don't think the RN and the USN together could stop it.
Human wave attacks for the 21st century ?

Im glad to see that at least some people in this country have an idea on how a war with china would play out. I always have this argument with my friend whos father was in the corps and thinks that they would just come out of no where in mass attacks. MASS ATTACKS LIKE WE SAW IN KOREA OR IN THE MOVIES WONT WORK!! We would see them from miles and miles and miles and miles away with all of our surveillance(new radars,satellite,ect...) and use our air force and navy missiles to BLOW THEM OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!! Now that does not mean that we can beat them easily b/c they too know what i just have said and thats why they are TECHing up real fast trying to catch up to the west so they can fight a war on our level. And that is just the truth.

It seems today with all the bad moves our country is making and the political **** we keep getting into people just think that we are bad and suck at everything. The one thing that this country(U.S) has on everyone else is our massive military strength. PERIOD. Just look at the numbers, this country spends more money on military goods than EVERY other country by far!!

Don't believe the **** that the liberal media is feeding you. America is as strong as ever.

If I were the PLA the satellites would be the first thing I knock out.
Rest assured, they have everything we have, at least up to 2000 when their access stopped.
I was exaggerating a little with human waves but they can lose 4-5 units of almost any type to our 1 loss and still have more people in their army than most countries have population.
If China decides it wants some piece of land I don't think there is anything that can stop it.
Despite, or because of liberal media, no command authority in the US will use nukes early in the conflict when they could make all the difference so we have become weak and grow weaker every year.

The flip side is that China likes it when we do their R & D for them and since someone has to be the worlds policeman and keep the sea and air lanes open to commercial traffic, I'm sure the Chi Coms don't mind saving that little bit of hard currency either.
