But Bob, would you honestly go into Iraq right now if you had half the available equipment the coalition troops have and less technologically advanced (UAVs, JDAMs, etcetera)?

Or would you leave the comfort of your 'fort' to attack a militia with a few technicals and jihad cars?

Edit: This is directed at eddie

Example of possible back story:

Somewhere in Uzbeckistan a group of disedents (represented by the insurgents) have armed themselves in order to launch an uprising and topple the government. Uzbeck armed forces (represented by the malitia) have cought wind of this plot and are moving in to nip this uprising in the bud. As government troops close in on the town the disedents prepare to drive them back to win an important propaganda victory for thier campagin.

Or, to use something that has been in the news very recently, Fatah fighting Hamas in the Gaza strip. Niether side has a significant technological advantage over the other, yet they still they fight for supremicy.

People fight with the tools they have. Why cant we have a map set sometime after the rest of the PR time period, where either coalition forces have pulled out of the fighting in the middle and far east and left them to their own devices and various paramilitary groups vie for power (or even during the PR time period, attempt to use the coalition's agression agianst the MEC to carve out thier own little state and take on MEC forces with reduced support as equipment like heavy armour, aircraft and what not are assigned to the frount against coalition forces) or after they seemingly eradicate the insurgency, the local security forces are considered able to take over the job and a new goverment has been installed. After a few years things begin to fall apart and the place in question devolves into sectarian violence.

That village looks very familiar. I remember seeing a first person player shot of that village somewhere, but maybe not that exact village... Still very familiar...

I thought AoM introduced new toys, since Milita gets raped by IFVs and scoped weapons?
Looking forward to the new faction in jet whoring business :roll:

oooooohhhh boy you idiots are close to getting a lengthy ban. Do you have any idea how many hours I've worked this week on PR ? And how few hours in between that, my carrer and my family that leaves for sleep?

And you MORONS have the audacity to complain about something that doesn't even exist in game yet while at the same time getting in a complain on something we've not yet released?

Ahh.. well.... I was gonna be nice and let it go, but through the writing of this post, I've reconsidered.. yer both getting 24h.

ye, there was a shot posted on the forums way back with also, no name to the map inside the village :)

@Outlawz

there is loads of brit stuff still missing, AoM is a 512x2 map that dont have many vehicles on it. Still to come for the brits is the harrier, EF2000, other ground vehicles aswell as not forgetting the all important C2 which will be taking a high place on this map :D

Well Rhino you've blown us away with your mapping skills again. I was drooling over Muttrah v2 but now you go and announce this map. Any map as big as Kashan with integrated air, tank and infantry support is going to be a great map but the fact that its being made by rhino makes it that much better. So will we see an update on this map on your website anytime soon? Can't wait to see more screens. Btw who has a link to the thread that this map was first announced on?

Again, good looking so far. Are both teams attacking or does one side start with most of the points and defends?

WTF why just why did that idea go into your head lol, this aint got nothing to do with the thread title if you want a map like this go make it yourself with militia vs insurgent ... as silly as the idea is.
