Who the hell uses tanks in mechanized infantry? You use an APC. You can't load up your squad in a tank.
You have to have infantry support with a tank so that some crazy raghead won't pop out a corner and shoot an RPG at it.

take it easy there.

Its a game and people will still "pop out", even if there is a quad .50 pointing at them.

why would you have a tank anywhere near a position where some crazy raghead can pop out of a corner and shoot it?

Urban warefare? Have you not seen combat footage from Iraq, featuring Abrams tanks in a street, accompanied by infantry?

Lol.. so...do you think they just park tanks on the top of some grassy knoll overlooking an entire town, zooming in on targets taking em out?

Sounds more like a videogame to me..

why do you think they invented the TUSK ?

Heh, the smart players will not. That is, unless their situation is hopeless.

Enough derailing the thread now, boys. You will have to take that infantry support discussion elsewhere.

Sorry my first post was a little bit of an exageration  But that was my point ViperGhost, he founded allot techniques and equipment still used today. He may not have the kills of the Finnish sniper but the kills he did get were amazing. Not trying to take away from the Finnish sniper though, I had never heard about him :-( truly an amazing man. I wonder if he was able to sleep after all that, a few skeletons in his closet? Any good books on snipers besides Hatchock ?

But you don't understand, this is a game.

When organizational ideas run contrary to his worship's concept then it's a game, when gameplay runs contrary to his worships concept then we talk about reality.

Please try to keep up with the divine flip flop effect.
I swear at least once a day you make a statement that makes me laugh (or wince in pain for the poor SOB your arguing with  )

Well, thinking about it. We are on a forum about a videogame, on a thread that is suggesting for something to be added into a videogame.

So yes, I was talking about video games. Aren't these the forums for pr, the videogame? :p Or am I completely lost in the wonderfull world of interwapz? And didn't this whole mechanised infantry thing start from someone saying that maybe there should be armor only squads? Or something like that. So yeah, of course I'm talking about pr.

Yes, in real life they do use tanks in urban combat, but I don't think that is something that is going to work too well in pr, which is why I asked him why he would put a tank into a situation like that.
