About 2 or 3 weeks ago, i joined a vBF2 game to test "how far my skills got improved by playing PR" *lol*


But it was just a silly ridiculous n00bfest.


It was the map with that dam on it. The US took 3/4 of the flags in 3 minutes by only using their attack chopper. After that, they took the MEC airstrip without any resistance.

The jets speed.........everything had been said to that....



And all these l33t gamers using "bugs" and "glitches" like you can capture a flag near the big bridge hidden on the underground ladder....i just shot about 5 guys who tried to do that.


All i wanted to play was some rounds of a more arcade BF2.....but...but....

I installed this great mod last november. Since november I’ve played Vanilla only once in a while. I even stopped playing PoE:2, though I used to be hooked on that mod.

And when I played Vanilla, I really had to get used to the Arcadish Style of Vanilla......I was very surprised how many Vanilla players are moving like funny dolphin diving bunnies on speed. I’m really glad that ProjectReality exists.

I bought it when it was released.I sell it after 2 weeks.After an year my friends bought it so I bought another copy, after a week I downloaded PR and since then I never play vanilla anymore.And with them we're totally addicted.

I stopped playing vBF2 actively in March/April 2006, and played it a little now and then after that (to test new patches, etc). I started playing PR actively in January this year.

years ago.... i was also hooked on poe2 for a long time and i'm looking forward to their next release, devs are doing a good job there!

but since pr has ai support it's the only mod i'm playing for reasons that you all know.

and when i get my new connection, i think i'll join mp from time to time...

Last time i fired it up was to show someone the Armoured Fury expansion maps, (which are rather good imo). It made the guys who i showed it to recoil in horror and generally made me shudder seeing the poor copter physics and vanilla bottleneck style design. Didn't even play it, just fired it up on the LAN.

I swear, I hated two server rules on vBF2 servers:
1.) car bombs not allowed - last server I played on, was SF, map was Warlord and Insurgents we're just getting slaughtered, since you couldnt stop the APC and tank camping at the supply crate. Someone would probably bring a technical, loaded with C4 and blow them up, but nooo, server rules state, that armor whores have the right pwn without any resistance...

2.) Baseraping uncaps not allowed - on all maps, US base is an uncap, except Mashtuur, of course.
So what do you do, when youre PLA/MEC and dicks from the other team base rape your base, becuase it isnt an uncap/capture it right on start and get a hold of the entire airforce on the map?

Plus, they always blew up the UAV, scan and artillery, whilst if you tried blowing up the assets at the uncap base, you'd get kicked/banned

I'd say the last time I played was about January..I think the only thing I miss are the parachutes

i bought vBF2 in april last year. played it for some months. then some friend made me download PR in august. (got tired of his nagging) tried a bit. i think it was 0,2 something. or it was 0,3. however. i renember i had most fun with 0,32 and 0,4. all maps went smooth and stuff like that. and not so many smacktards around as it is today. i had many good fights back then.

then 0,5 came out. new stuff. made my pc crash and stuff. so i went back to vanilla a few times. played with a girlfriend.
then 0,6 beta came. i liked it. tried it some times, now i wait for full release 0,6. (take your time devs. this man has a good patience (: ) but last time i played vanilla? cant renember.. i think it was in may.

Long long time ago...I liked the pwnage in the vanilla copters. Used to play .5 a LOT but got tired of the nonsense in it and noob tubers etc...still felt like vanilla run-n-gun. .6 Beta is the best thing since sliced bread...I love it, sure not everything is perfect but the firefights are just top notch. I wasn't the best at .5 but in .6 I'm much better...it suits a more military-conservative style. CQB is fun now as well.

Since downloading and playing .05, i have not gone back to vanilla..This is such an exciting game...

I still play vBF2 from time to time in an effort to "free some minds". I've got a friend who plays BF2, that is one of those people who play just to pwn everyone and will use every possible advantage to do so. I'm trying to win him over and everytime he ******* about something in BF2, my answer is usually: That doesn't happen in PR.

Now when I can tell them that there is no prone diving in PR, then I think we'll see a mass exodus from vBF2.

"Converting" people to play PR while on a vBF2 public server is not such a good idea. People start complaining about the mod and we PR players start saying the mod is better. Fights just break out. There is no point in converting players to start playing PR because they're simply too lazy to download the mod or they care about their stats more (sigh, stats)... Though the vBF2 players should start finding out about this mod by themselves and download it.

started PR with .4 and have only started vanilla once thereafter to join my old regular server and tell em about the mod.
the map was daqing oilfield and I shot down a skilled pilot in the J10 for the first and probably last time. if the J10 doesnt make it to PR that is^^

Might be a good idea to ask the TotalBF2 guys to do a review of 0.6 PR, when it comes out, since the last review is from v0.3, then let the vBF2 players, that visit the site, decide if they wanna try PR
