If you guys ever release a harrier in PR I'll be pleased no matter how long it takes. Its one of my favourite war tools of all time. I prefer it from the F35. I wonder if there's any equivalent jumpjets for the middle eastern forces potentially? (Or chinese forces)

The only other VTOL fighter I could find after a quick search was the Yak-38.

Don't trust the info too much though, as it is after all ... wikipedia.
EDIT - Upon scrolling to the bottom of that page I also 'found' the Yak-141 which seems to have been cancelled before it went into production.

Indeed. Though The Russians no longer operate the Kiev Class, so the Forger (and its cancelled little brother, the freestyle) is out of a job. The only currently operating Kiev-class is in India, and they use Sea Harriers.

Thanks man. The Yak-141 looks more suited to a modern warfare game than the 38. (looks cooler too). If people don't mind that it was discontinued, its probably the best option if the Devs want to give the middle eastern forces an equivalent to the harrier.

Seeing as the Middle Eastern Coalition ingame are portrayed in more of a 'defensive' role. I don't see the need for a VTOL aircraft really if they're not operating some sort of expeditionary force.

Yeh that first Yak-38 went in the bin a while back. It was on a training video i watched about 2 years ago, and in the same video they said that F-4's were the key fighter in the Naval Arsenal.......
So pretty old

On another note. When talking about when certain hardware will enter service, isn't it likely that the conflict depicted in PR (Which is virtually a WW3 scenario) would call for mass production of equipment from all participating countries? You look back at WW2, and alot of experimental equipment was actually produced and used on the front lines.
Equipment scheduled to see service several years from now may could end up being mass produced and used alot sooner should an event warrant such. Not to mention I don't think the Middle-East and China can be defeated in any short time span, such a war could go for years (assuming nuclear weapons aren't used for whatever reasons).
I don't really mind if the F-35 is or isn't put ingame, but it's just something to consider.

It's just so pretty too( The JSF ). TEHEHE. I like flying VTOL aircraft ingame though, I'm hoping the harrier is a bit harder to get off the ground and land than the F-35B was in vBF2. Giving it a bit more of a rugged, less sophisturcuhmated feeling.
