There's currently 200+ people seeding, with around 1200 downloading. I've been seeding all day whilst at work - took about 4 hours to download via Torrent, and it's now been up for over 11. Average download speed is now 125kb/s (which will have been lowered massively for past few hours has obviously been around 0.1kb/s.)
(I actually downloaded it in just over an hour via direct link but loaded up uTorrent so that I could see it for people once it'd downloaded

)
Assuming people keep seeding, download speeds should continue to improve for people. Don't forget there's currently a massive number of new peers connecting who won't be able to share for a goodly while until they've downloaded enough to start dishing it back out.
Just give it time!

....... I don't know how to use Torrent. and WE NEED SOMETHING BETTER THEN TORRENT NOW!!!

Because you don't know how to use it doesn't mean it's not good.
Just install utorrent or azureus and open the .torrent file. It will download automatically. Nothing complicated about it.
Or wait until the official release. If you don't want to wait, use the torrent. No need to all-caps us your impatience

Damn this sucks, the highest speed I've had has been 20 kb/s. Just now it's around 1 - 2 kb/s and is going to take 3 - 4 weeks

I'd be better off just waiting.

2 hours and a half with torrent! It's the best way to release for me.You have to wait and try limiting the uplod to the 80%. I set it to 28 or 25.

That's like saying in PR, relying on the squad leader to lead is stupid... It's all about teamwork and helping!

The download *starts* pretty slow but once you get into it a bit it should pickup. I had no more than 10 for the first few minutes, later on about 30, but for the majority of it 250kb/s plus. That's usually where I DL at.
Also, lol @ post above.

I am a torrent newb (only used it since beginning of beta) but have azureus. Is there a more user friendly one then that or is that the easiest to use. I tried searching other stuff on azureus and came up with ****? Is that one just not as good?
i've seen utorrent, bitTorrent, azureus?
which is best for a new torrent user.

thats entirly different as in PR you can rely on people if you can voip and talk to them or w/e
but Bit torrent people lust leach, its lame (no teamwork score there)

Actually, the more you upload to other users of that torrent, the higher priority their clients give to you when your client attempts to download a piece of the file from them. In other words the faster you upload the faster you download (just as long as you dont upload to the point where your upstream bandwidth of your connection can handle no more).
As for users completely new to torrenting, I guess uTorrent, Azureus is good too for newER users but it has so many extra features that it may get overwhelming for someone who is completely unfamiliar with torrents.

I think the point that my friend Lazzars is trying to make, is that although Torrents in principle work fantastically - they don't actually work in this circumstance - ie, the release platform for a new game.
How many people leave there torrent program to seed after the download is complete? and how many say "**** you all, i've got my copy, i'm going to go and play it now?" bye bye....
I'd say a huge majority switch off and don't come back... As much as we like to think we're in this huge great utopia community of simulary minded helpful players... the fact is, we're not.
