the best thing to do is forget trying to snipe with the GL and get a light transport vehicle, park it sideways, stand behind the drivers side door and start lobbing em. infinite resupply while you shoot, fun as hell. i need to try getting a "mortar" team together while i'm leading a squad one of these days.

as far as i know the m203 uses a sort of reverse version of the old flip up sights you would see on rifles in the early 19th century with the static sight being in back and the flip up range finding sight up front rather than vise versa its actually a really really simple system one witch isnt long for this world when you've got guns like the f2000 coming around.Hardtman wrote:They are hardcoded insofar as that you can't alter them depending on the distance you want to hit. Usually, with an M16, you look through the ring of the ironsights onto the special Metal thingy (Yeah,I suck with weapon-vocabulary) on the front of the weapon. Depending on how far you want to shoot, you hold the weapon so that you can see the bar for the preferred distance thorugh the ring.
So the only way in PR would be to make the front aimpoint static and aim higher/lower with your whole body instead of only with the weapon.
Oh, and by the way, 300 yds are about 270 metres,or what?

I blame it on the steady stream of unlimited ammunition that a grenade launcher has when the firer is standing in/on a HUMVEE or a resupply point. My solution would be to increase (i.e. double or triple) the amount of time between getting new grenades. As an aside, most firefights in PR take place within the effective range of an M203, so it should be a contender in mid-ranged infantry combat.[R-DEV]IronTaxi wrote:because for those of you who dont remember the m203 was the sniper rifle of choice up until deviation was added..
we may have some kind of help for that comign down the pipe though..now that i think about it...
ill mention it in the DEV forums..
I'll stop complaining; can't wait to see what you guys have in store for the patch/.7 though
