that's the correct translation- but squad leader is common as what i've seen so far.

some more that might be helpful:

watch out - aufpassen! (common sense - shortest version SG/PL) pass auf! (SG) passt auf (PL)

behind us - hinter uns!

in front of us - vor uns!

smoke(grenade) - Rauch(granate)

razor wire - Stacheldraht

sandbags - Sandsäcke

Rucksack = Backpack

Rückzug = retreat, origin is zurückziehen (to retreat).

Yeah that sounds exaclty like google translator!^^

Pls dont try to translate a whole sentence with this tool you'll get a completely different sentence. For words its ok but not more cause of the grammar and meaning!

What about a german-night on a TB-server where everyone should try to speak his best german.
TBs members would try to open up squads with at least one german inside ;)

I love the cliché WWII-german, its weird but the cliché needs some specific failures, like:
  • 9 out of 10 germans are called Hans
  • the germans have problems with "Der, Die, Das". One of my favorites "Das Übersoldat" from Castle Wolfenstein.
