Where I went to high school, it was primarily your sophomore and junior year that really counted. Freshman year was always the "transition year" which was an excuse for people getting poor grades.

Junior year was a *****, basically the worst year ever of my life.

Senior year was almost a joke, first semester still counted, but people went ape shit second semester. Unless you're going to an ivy, colleges really don't seem to give a shit how well you do second semester.

I see myself more as the hunchback of PR. Nobody really wants him there, but they can't really tell him off either. And they try to strengthen this stance by hoping I one day prove useful. ;)

Well, there was that one really hot chick who liked the hunchback... but that was Disney...

I think he's going about it the wrong way. What he needs to do is not stop gaming, but realize that there are at least 8 hours during the night where all you are doing is sleeping. If you learn to take advantage of this time, there are only benefits. 1. You are too tired to get upset at things 2. You are so tired classes just rush by. 3. When it comes time for PR, you arent tired due to your friendly neighbor Adrenaline 4. Sleep is such a waste of time anyway 5. You'll technically live roughly 1/3 longer than any one you know.

I could go on...

Side note, anyone care to explain the US education system?

explain it how? it lacks funds, teachers dont get paid enough to care half the time. Nor do most kids care, and the ones who do are more often than not stuck in the same class as kids who dont, therefore they are held back. We have classes and special programs for mentally handicapped/disabled, most of which will never benefit from the classes, and yet, more often than not, the school lacks the proper programs to offer those who are in the upper percentile something worth their while. So if you're smart, school is a boring waste of time... Umm... Basic math/science classes, most times some Shop, Art, Home Economics, where you learn to put stuff in the oven and make teddy bear pillows, and PE is required. probably nationally required.

And then you go to college. And the next thing you know, it's 2AM, your Japanese roommate just knocked your bowl of Oriental Ramen into your lap and onto your bed... and you're slightly tired... :(

Goodnight

Basically, as Okita said

Teachers = underpaid = don't care = are sadistic
Dumb Kids = don't understand anything = don't care= do blow in the bathroom
Smart Kids = everything is too easy = don't care = insane boredom

Some schools have AP or IB, but that's just over glorifying what school should be.
A friend of mine said that after he dropped out of IB and went to Higher Level courses (which is basically the higher than average dumbass class in my school) all he had to do was get his homework at the start of class, sleep through the class, do his homework, and BLAMO, he's got an A.

tesher07 wrote:Well 2 things
1. I have school.
2. My computer sucks/ my birthday was 2 months ago and I was told I was going to get a computer but sadly I won't because now my parents say school.
3. I want to test my theory if no computer really helps in school.

I won't be back for a long long time sadly. Estimated 4, 5 maybe 6 months.

So I sadly take my leave as I will not turn on my computer or try not to.

I'm dearly sorry that I can now not help the IDF army community mod team  .

Please don't delete my account as I will be back. Good bye, good luck and farewell
it is sad when you gotta make a goodbye thread to ppl online. like rly does anyone actually care?
