beware wikipedia

what's that a proportion of hummers in active service?
Are hummer groups usualy all furnished with crows, or just say 1/4 in an average convoy would have them?
If CROWS are such a hot addition, why wasnt the gunner protection kit implemented?

The GPK was originally designed by an engineer in the field and refined later on, and now is being mass produced (plz dont ask me for the source, i'm too tired- search for CROWS HMMWV on the US Army site...)
By implemented: i meant in the mod.

One possible solution to the CROW being unbalanced is to put the SAW in it, not an M2, less firepower to offset the accuracy.

Agreed. Instead of the Havok, put the Hind in, a completely different machine. Give correct armor ratings and manuverability. One area I would cheat on is the max effective range on the guns, as the US has a tremendous advantage, but then again, the T-90 has the AGM to match.
Speaking of balance, did the damage of the chinese weapons ever get changed to reflect the 6mm ammo they use?

Here's a picture you dont see every day...
Somehow I'm disapointed, I thought the Hind was a much larger aircraft.

I must respectfully disagree...
From FAS website:
The Mi-24, the first helicopter to enter service with the Russian Air Force as an assault transport and gunship... additional missions include direct air support, antitank, armed escort, and air to air combat... The Mi-24 is a close counterpart to the American AH-64 Apache, but unlike this and other Western assault helicopters it is also capable of transporting up to eight troops.
A representative mix when targeting armor formations would be eight AT-6 ATGMs, 750x 30-mm rounds, and two 57-mm rocket pods.
The AT-6 is a dedicated anti-armor weapons system very much like the TOW. And I bet that twin 30mm gun on the F models would open up armor like a tin can.
No doubt the Mi28 is a better over all platform, but the 24 is still a formitable beast. NATO planners believed the Hind's would fill a role more like the A-10 than the AH-64 for Warsaw Pact should combat have broken out in Europe (Hinds actually need their wings to fly well and are not good hover and shoot platforms in a hostile enviroment).

yeah , hind are awesome , and it will be great to see them ingame , but not as areplacement of the havoc , but as a addon (just like the apache dont replace the cobra), and armed transport , and in some maps with the AT load .

Umm... excuse me but am I in the wrong thread? I thought this was about the CROWS system on the Humvee.
