I'm getting all this helicopter advertisements... cheap RC choppers FTW!
So pilots may take control of the hydras aswell as the co pilot?

Ok I don't even get the point of having gunner fired rockets.
1. Thats not how it works it real life because...
2. Rockets CANNOT BE AIMED BY THE GUNNER. I mean no helicopter crew, politician, or manufacturer would agree to this set up. I hardly see anyone soloing now, and when the AA situation is rectified, it will basically vanish because...
3. Gunners can use their AGMs from standoff range without worrying about ground fire. And once the AA weapons finally work the pilots will stop their idiocy altogether because...
4. People just do whatever is effective. MEC troops running in front of M-16 fire, bunny hopping, solo-tank/chopper-ing, dolphin diving, it all usually works. So unless it stops working then people will keep doing it.

Not to mention, whenever these choppers are employed in PR, there is almost always heavy armour resistance, making hydras as affective as a Kamikaze against a M1A2 on the back of a dolphin. Its suicide. Since its so damn easy to shoot down a full speeding atk chopper with the 120mm, the Pilot only wants to face the nose(and tail) at the armour to fire a TV and then GTFO ASAP, while the gunner does his thing.
...mongol...
Oh and you just have to attack from a standard steep helicopter dive (-30 degrees). Gun can't elevate enough to engage. (See MH-6 on Qwai).

I want to see people who have ACTUALLY flown these things or atleast someone like kenwayy or probably has REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE to comment on how they are flown.

Sounds like a good idea DF. I never liked how we could fly off all alone. Just a breif read through the thread though, and I guess that keeping it how it is does make sense.

What do politics have to do with how choppers work?

politicians have always played a big role in dictating what equipment the military would be allowed to purchase.
Here's an idea

Here's an idea. If all that the mod team wants to do is prevent soloing in attack helos, why not simply prevent the Chopper from taking off unless there are two pilots in it? If PR is smart enough to know whether or not you are using a Pilot kit before warming up the chopper, surely its also smart enough to know whether or not there are two pilots in the chopper.
This way, soloing is prevented, while the Hydras remain safely in control of the pilot.
What do you think?

Good idea but probably hardcoded

If it is possible then same should apply for tanks (if there is only a driver tank shouldn't be able to move unless the gunner hops in)

'[EtE wrote:nickbond592;474398']i'm against this
keeping the pilot firing them is a lot easier and gets me out of sticky situations (like the gunner on the TV screen or looking the other way when a threat pops up)
i'm not a solo pilot but i thought the RL pilots fired them anyway?
it verys alot, some have to be navgaited my 2 people at the same time

No, rockets for pilots, otherwise they'd never find their target.

Aldo soloing is not wellcome tactics in game it is possible IRL so it shud be in game, only thing that could make some sence is that pilot can do soloing as much as it wants, but gunner is one that makes rockets "armed" simply by its presence in chopper od that pilot solo gains none points at all untill theres a gunner aboard?

add lockable missils .

I didn't mean for this to be a solution to solo choppering, I just meant that as an added bonus it would take care of it.
