PR FTW!

crysis is gonna be a flop, the onyl thing that it has that could draw me away is the eyecandy, but my comp sux, so i wont be getting it for a LONG time, maybe never :D unless its not arcady and actually has teamwork, or a mod team with reality in mind moves to it :D

8800GT and the game played fantastic. People who have problems suck at setting their graphics options.

I loved the single player, most of it anyway, but was disappointed at the lack of stealth that was possible. The inability to hide bodies pretty much ruined the possible stealth aspect.

I admit i didnt check out crysis yet. Pentium 4 gefore 6800, you get the idea ^^. It looks like an interesting game though.

I dont think Project reality should go crysis, the reason it is such a success is that it delivers what people hoped BF2V would be from the screenshots but wasnt, though I hope itll get a workover on a juicy new engine some time in the future ^^.

Seriously how cheated did you feel seeing those videos of squad and tank armor coordination and then playing the game ?

Ok so what settings did u use to play OK on multiplayer? Cuz on my two 8600s on single player the game is fine, but the multiplayer seems to require ALOT more out of the graphics cards than it should.

Battlefield 2 is only an engine that Project reality uses. It is full of problems and the editor is an abomination to use imo.

Thing is, most people have BF2 and therefor the playerbase is EGANTIC!
Where is, not a lot of people who play PR will have the computers to play crysis yet.
Like me for example, while i intend on upgrading massivly this year, it doesnt mean i will even want to go away from BF2 PR. The more the community grows, the better PR will become, thats economics for ya. Im staying with the pr caravan through thick and thin, and will do what it takes to stay with my community whatever the cost, but hopefully PR will remain with BF2 for quite some time so the status quo doesnt change too much. Besides...

When the DEVS are sick of using BF2 i think they will have enough support to make their own game engine.

you know i think you are absolutley correct have the devs ever tried to put a (in terms of man hours and final cost)numbers to making their own engine?

second, in regards to copyright of an engine how much code can you take from bf2/COD/BF1942 in snippets before it violates copyright. ( Ie. you take an apple from a photo modify it slightly to include it in your picture) that would stop the copyright infringement

but i will continue to play PR always

I don't care if the graphics get better with another engine/game.
The way PR currently stands is amazing. The developers did a great job, and continue to with each update..

PR is 50% game, and 50% community.. if more and more people continue to play PR and more people keep continuing to play it as its meant to be played (team work, and listening to squad leaders/commanders) then the game will only get better as more and more servers surface making it hard to choose which to log onto!

Only thing I think PR needs are more quality maps. I love about 50% of them, but they still need a map like Sunset City but a city that is 4 times the size and much more dense.

Since I began playing PR on a regular basis, all other FPS seems too much arcade for me, I cant play anything else anymore!

Turn AA off and your resolution down. 9800GTX isn't designed for being used at big resolutions.
