Let me just make a short list of those things I think should be in a reality mod.
1) No enemy nametags - period.
2) Friendly nametags for those soldiers who are within 5 feet of you. This simulates recognizing their face.
3) All Radio chatter removed unless you are in a radio operator class
4) No minimap and no dots.
5) Class limitations (no squads full of medics, snipers, ATs, or SAWs).
6) Players being forced into squads at game start. No lone wolfs.
You want immersion, squad cohesion and teamwork? I do.
You want a feeling a being alone, vulnerable, and harder to identify friend or foe before you pull that trigger when you stray from friendlies and dont practice teamwork? I do.
I agree with all but 6 let people choose squads and then if they dont want to let them be the first kicked to open a slot for someone else

hav it so the squad leader chooses the squad make up bu limit the available options so:
1xmedic
2xSAW
2xgrenadeer
6xspecops (you usually get whole squads of specops) (make it so if squad leeder chooses specops for himself every on else is)
1xSrRAW
1xEnginner.

Ok heres where I agree:
1) Radio Chatter should be shouting
2) Name tags taken off after 5 feet.
3) Radar should be taken off for all members except squad leader.
This radar will only update with a delay of maybe 5 seconds only showing other squad leaders (to assume he has a squad with him)
4) *Squads should compose of
1x Squad leader - Assault /w Grenade Launcher
1x corpsman (medic) - with the ability to only bandage wounds and stop bleeding.
3x Riflemen - Regular AK/m16 without GL
1x Anti tank or 1x MGer
*this is an accurate scale down of a real USMC squad factoring basic first aid training and corpsmen supplied by the navy.
This would make up the mainstay of the platoon, of course you would have a sniper, engineer, etc but wiith realistic ratios applied to different maps.

Not sure I like the idea of being 'forced' into squads.
If I play, I usualy play in a squad of fellow clan members becaue we are all using our ventrillo server.
Id rather have the freedom to chose what squad I want to play in.

Yeah. I see your point. I would like to find a way to get ppl into squads somehow..so I hope a solution is already conceived or in the works.

AA is tight but totally lacks any kind of teamwork inorder to be good. Saw someone go 36-0 in 7 rounds a few days ago just by being a run and gun rambo

America's army is a game based on America's
Army.
PR is based on a fictional war in the near future between the USMC and a Middle Eastern Coalition. (Yes - they are not terrorists kids)
AA runs on the UT engine with round based combat.
AA has no vehicles, large scale maps, or 64 player servers.
AA has a developed reputation and base for realism. - Why wouldn't you use some great ideas that have already been tested?
AA is not PR.
You're playing Project
REALITY here bud. If you want a squad of 5 Mg'ers or 5 snipers - please play dungeons and dragons and get away from reality. Maybe you and Gameplay and creativity boy below me can go play quidditch?
