well, it is a 7.62mm mg if you mean that, but it is lots lighter than the MG3 and it is used as squad automatic weapon in the german bundeswehr (they call it G8, it will be replaced by the MG4 which is a 5.56mm MG), but the MG3 is only used on tanks and jeeps, not mancarried

The M2 is a HMG. Our GPMG is the M240 series.

All this attempt at educating the others that the MEC are an actual military and not some ignorant group of camel farmers, makes me :| .

Harrod200 wrote:Not sure why it wasn't used (since it was in vBF2), but to me it would make more sense than the PKM just on a practical basis; PKM is big and heavy, RPK is not much more than the 47 on which it's based.

Drum magazines might be hard to come by for the insurgents (so they would use std. AK mags, turning it into something similar to the current L86; more accurate AR) but Militia should be able to get a drum mag or two per soldier using one.

I'm guessing a repost tho, I'll have to check :) 'cos you know the MODs will...
so more like an RTk?(I think thats what the one is called with the big mag

holy ****...I'm just curious where do you get all this bullshit info. Ok, I'll try to explain
RPK stands for Ruchnoy Pulemyet Kalashnikova (Kalashnikov's handheld machine gun). I don't even recall any word in russian about small arms which starts with T.

thejackalkernl wrote:in my opinion we should get the Lahti L-39 back in action lol
Basic Weapon Statistics:
Overall Length 2.24m
Barrel length: 770mm
Weight (no mag) 49.5Kg
Magazine (10 shot) weight 3.4KG
Ammunition: 20mm x 138belted. Brass or steel case, AP or HE depending on role.

this would be a good insurgent weapon, only a few were produced and sold so a good rare weapon lol

Google Image Result for http://www.militaryfactory.com/smallarms/imgs/pkm.jpg
I just notice that someone has mention Lahti L-39 so called elephant gun :o I have to admit that it would be nice support/light-at/marksman for insurgent lol and ~1903 piece are made. littlebit old fashion but still

Yes, it would make a nice addition to the insurgent's arsenal; and I'm sure the militia could have found a few...(replace the spec ops kit with a second support kit, using those 45 round mags perhaps)

Would be nice to take down those pesky APCs sometimes, although they seem to get enough hassel from IEDs, RPGs and car bombs in the first place.
