And thats what rocks about PR! Allright Mec > Usmc in infantry, Usmc > Mec in Vehicle combat(to some extent)*cough* Lav > Btr *cough*

The Bradley and the LAV-25 have the same 30mm. Bushmaster, and do different amounts of damage. The Linebacker should be modified to have it's stingers replaced with TOW missles, and have it's 7.62 machinegun enabled,I've been on USI too much,.15 fragfest,ahh...Maybe the LAV-AD put in for the USMC's AA vehicle,oh and with the modified Bradley, you can move it over for the U.S. ARMY to use, whenever they're added.USI Bradley can teach lots! ;)

We'll keep pushing realism as much as possible but it has to be relative to balance. All MBTs/APCs will have magnification levels relative to their real life counterparts in 0.7 so that's another step towards realism and uniqueness. As for the G3/M16 unbalance we're working on balancing it through how the weapons handle in real life as opposed to just a quick fix of making their damage the same.

PWNED :]

Sorry, but I don't have much respect for Sicario since he joined a squad of mine on tactical gamer, I thought, oh great he's on the forums a lot he'll be a team player. We had a good squad all working together while he went of lonewolfing on his own with no chat or voip comms. :/

OT, I like the combat as it is right now. I play as Inf usually, so tanks are just things to avoid or blow the hell up to me.

With also other features like thous to IR things at the front being able to confuse wire guided missiles and throw them off there course. All this stuff no one fully knows about thou, and thous who do its top secrete stuff that cant be said and even if we did know I dout we could code it ingame.
thats the problem with the current armour mechanics in PR, they are too simplified. the values are little more than XXX dmg points against XXX hp depending on the location of the hit. mechanics that M1s and Challengers dominate

they simply dont allow for alternative defence systems that are employed on tanks like the T90 like the Arena and Shtora which rely on either destroying the projectile before it even hits the tank or throwing ATGMs off course.

the T90 should at least have the missile warning sound when an enemy tanks points at it as onboard sensors can detect the laser rangefinder

Wanna know something funny? No matter how many times people complain about PR i still prove em wrong! No other mod has such teamwork! Not Insurgency! Not Zombie Master! Not Poe2! Not any one mod!

mm i doub it , range finders are not like the lazers that guided a missil , im not sure if a t90 can detect it .

ans yea , if PR continue with the symetrical amount of vehicles in everymap , diferense between heavy vehicles will not work , thats why maps like qwai and seven gates are two of my favorites maps , they dont have a symetrical layout and allow diferent tactics for each team , unlike ejod or kufra oilfields , where the only tactic for both teams are move "foward"

Just FYI, Bradley Linebacker is no longer in service and the M242 Bushmaster in the LAV-25 and Bradley is 25mm, not 30mm. The Avenger would work for both USMC and US Army.

Yea,I was thinking the Linebacker wasn't in use anymore...Yea,the M242 is 25mm.

The Avenger is like a humvee though, you can't put that up against an M1 Tunguska!

Again saying why does the LAV-25 do more damage than the Bradley?

*shrugs* I'm not a coder, but that should be fixed.

Well, if realistically implemented, there isn't much in the game that can go up against the Tunguska if it sees you first; the 30mm cannons fire the same rounds as the cannons on the BTR-90/BMP-2 and the most recent Russian fighter aircraft. However, it cannot fire its missiles on the move, as they are SACLOS guided.

it can and you could set it so that once detected the turret will automatically point to the source of the laser ready to engage it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shtora

ive heard the chinese type 99 can also do this but then again we would need the type 99 first.

most of the problem is down too the engine being very simple and cant do alot of the stuff we want.

the missile warning may be an idea but I dunno if we can only code it for the T-90 to pick up other tanks, and the tank may just think a H-AT is trying to shoot at him.

I think rhino and the Dev team know what they're doing , sure public imput can be helpfull . but making a game impossibly complex is only good for one thing .

Wasting time.

Rhino + Devs = Pr = awesome

Sides , most of these ideas are ust so you don't have to get off your arse's and actually use your mind to figure out distances .

nuff said .

The only thing I can say about PR using similar stuff and that would be the Vanilla inflatable boats.

ye, but with the boats being very low priortiy as they aint used much its not worth it when we could be making another asset fro the brits, US, chian, MEC etc etc that will get alot of use.

The USMC could the the LAV-AD,and the U.S. ARMY could use the M113A2 variant with the ADATS systems on it.You could take out 2 of the missle pods, make them have stingers or SA-11's in them or something, and put on 2 30mm.-25mm. flak cannons.?

The US does not use the ADATS system and has no plans to do so. With the withdrawal from service of the Linebacker, the only combined gun/SAM vehicle in US Army service is the Avenger.
