ATM Grenades from the UGLs have the full 14.8 MS^-2 Acceleration but bullets from the rifles have just 4.44.
Hmmm, itd be great to see the same method of physics on bullets, but... would it create lag from all the computing? Prolly not, but I think thats a small issue in arma? maybe not.

Anyway, thats awesome though, Im not sure I really ever thought about the grenade launcher path...(Duh)
haha

Terrain wise, is that terrainawise compared to Structures? Cuz like they said earlier, you cant just look at a hill and say "yeah, thats your average 10meter high hill"

Whereas with a door or something, its more of a standardized concept. You can look at a structure in game and see if its not to scale, you cant do that looking at a hill (as said above)

found it:
Well since you cannot say "a mountain is a mound of earth that is approximately 100m high", but you can say "a person is approximately 2m high", there is really no such things as "to scale according to the terrain", is there?

ACU is sh*t. It looks fine in desert settings once it gets dirty and worn in, but Marpat, multicam, and even the old BDUs look better in a woodland setting.

Maybe have two same sets of ACU but the desert levels has them sandworn and the woodland levels have the uniforms all mud/grass stained?

Damn I'm a genius.

ACU Pick up ambient colors apperntly. In the woods, it would have a green tinge, inthe desert, a yellow tinge, but that may be grassstains and sand showing...

Yea, I been dying for some US maps. Something like in iraq with the humvees and M1 abrams. I would love that so much. :0 Similar to basrah but US.

I dont know why all this talk about the ACU is even happening. The ACU is the Army's all purpose camo and will stay that way for a least a decade more(they just got it). Its not so bad at a distance in jungle maps, you will see. And IRL the ACU adapts to its terrain(basically it gets dirty :) but seriously though) so dont worry n00bies we are safe.

I think the actually legit concern, imho, is that in game, the uniform wont actually dynamically get a chance to get dirty, as in real life.

I think we should wait til we see the ACU before we say any more, but if it turns out it wont fit in, and stands out like a sore thumb, maybe itd be as simple as slapping on a few muddy/grass stain-like textures on the woodland maps ACUs and some desert dirt/sunfading on the desert map ACU...

We shall see though.

so yeha , bassicaly im saying the make a fake ACU camo fitable to woodland ....sounds bad eh ? :p
Well actually i remember reading something on the army website [sorry, can't find the article] that said it was mostly neutral colors so that after some time in an environment the camo would stain a natural color, more brown/green in woodland, fade or get dusty in desert, etc.

But the one in the game is a blackhawk, even if it were pink.

No its not the seahawk has a different nose and different engine intake. As well as the landing gear being different. God knows all th other avionics changes so.......no there are not the same.

I swear you guys are arguing the same thing I am so freaking confused. The color doesnt really matter, and the one being used in game is not the one the marines(dont they not have the miniguns and have like some machine gun instead?) should be using. Case closed? Please?

That is correct. The Marines do not operate any variant of the H-60 except the VH-60N, sometimes known as the Nighthawk or the "Whitehawk." This helicopter is used only in Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX-1) for the special air mission, or "white-top" role, which is transport of the President and other VIPs.

The Marines do, however, get transported by Navy Seahawks or Knighthawks, Army Blackhawks and Air Force Pavehawks when the need arises.

To clarify the last two posts- back on track with the topic, because any more BH/SH discussions will make me cry, and when I cry it means water gets into the keyboard suddenly forcing Firefox to start issuing locks and warnings and mean stuff like that :D

If you MUST have an endless discussion about something non-thread related, go use the private message system. It just *loves* longwinded debates about things of no consequence :)
