wait i don't quite get this

we have US and UK v China, look like having US/UK v Russia, why would Russia and China then turn on each other? Unless they have already defeated the US/UK?

the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Don't let this take anything away from what looks like a great map, but the logic behind the two sides just seems odd, how about a definitive answer from someone about why Russia and China would be feasible rather than just saying someone else said it was fine somewhere in the depths of the forum? Thanks

Who care about a storyline ? Let's say that Russia found a new source of super efficient fuel under their territory and China want it. The end.

Well it still doesn't make much sense to me neither, as well as my PR playing mates and russian friends, but it's not to us to decide what's right and what's not. Let's be grateful we at least have US/UK vs Russia action.

I'm not complaining but .. christ! This is as stupid as UK vs US, we can't put China vs Russia, isn't Project Reality a project for .. Reality!?
If we can't even have a invasion of US, then a ChinaVSRussia is just out of line.

BTW, ban me for something that makes SENSE.

no one is forcing you to play the map, if you don't like it the PR team is making plenty of other awesome maps, i for one (living in a temperate climate) would love to play in the snow.

the entire PLA is switching over to digicam, all 2.5 million of em.

and the argument still stands, at a time when sino russian relations are at an all time high with each country becoming increasingly dependent upon each other in both trade, energy and on the diplomatic arena, the mere notion of a russia vs china map is not only downright wrong but very ignorant of the great efforts of both countries to normalise once hostile relations with each other.

i may just be blathering and the map does look fantastic but the notion of PLA vs russia just feels... wrong, im sure many chinese and russian players would agree

As would most of the PR population, but why would a snow map have to be Russia v China, why not Russia v UK or Canada?

As said before i thought this mod was focusing on Reality.

I would not say taking off the whole Russia vs China thing would stop this map from being made. you could just replace everything Chinese with US stuff and instead say the US are invading Russia from the East. and it's easy to do that, you just replace chinese tank with american tank etc etc

Its a code limitation but russia will almost certainly have considered every possible threat and in reality will have simulated a fight vs china

Hm, any updates? This was one of the most promising Russian maps.

The map should have 2 PLA[AF] Q5 Fantans' and an SU-25 Crow. As if the Peoples Republic of China is invading Russia, since USSR relations faded way back when. Now RUSSIA and Socialist China are just kind of bitter neighbors and in a war Russia and China would just not be looking the other way(North and south) giving the enemy the chance to attack its enemy(Russia) and use its vast resources and weakened army to take the recources with ease. Fighting Russia wouldn't be easy, but it's a heck of alot easier than fighting the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

So China invading, 2 Fantans because they are invading.
Russia, with 1 Crow(NATO: FrogFoot) because it is just there for border patrols like over Afghanistan/Turkey.
*writers note; RUSSIA no longer borders with neither Turkey nor Afghanistan*

Or at least have the SU25(s) spawn later so it is more realistic; pilots relaxed playing cards while chinese getting ready for invasion.

My suggestion for that map. Only one.

why does some people not like the idea of a PLA vs RF map? The mods supposed to reflect reality, well when the hell did the US and UK start fighting the PLA in the first friggin place? Be imaginative and try not to defeat any imagination for the devs and mods

Solution: Russia's fighting everyone, mkay? I think it's been stated that geo-political realism is not what this mod is going for, if it did then there's no way the US/UK would be fighting China or MEC.

i tought that in the map briefing of shongue stalement it stated that the USMC forces where coming from russia?(unsure) This might be the whole explanation for all of it. and USMC/UK vs. Russian federation would just result in Global Thermal Nuclair War. and i dont think its a good idea to give the commander a Nuke just for realisem
