A little update
I've added 2 more blocks so now it's a lot closer to RL scale and also added trash to the roads.
Here's a little video of how it looks ingame http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVTWY0VjCq4[/youtube]
Feel free to drop some more feedback

For some reason I thought, this was some sort of hoax with a r/l video, then I saw it's in-game
I swear

Looks a lot like Al Basrah.
We need more ME building and wall statics I think.
Nice work, city is huge!

This doesn't look like Basrah at all. I used only low and a few medium buildings and no tall ones like in Basrah. But I must admit that the town is quite big

That looks absolutely awesome. I am all for the real life locales like this.
Is there any way to give it a darker sky and a fog like in Strike At Karkand?
Also can the USMC be left in instead of this upcoming US Army??

Show me a r/l city, where theres sky and a fog whose colors remind of sh*t then.

on having a second look at the video again, can i suggest two things:
mybe have a little more debris in some of the roads (lines of parked/wrecked cars instead of just the odd one) and mybe in one of the main roads, u could make a kind of market area (using the stall-type statics that u find in vbf2, sometimes have mounted MGs on them)
also, mybe u could add an open are, someting resembling a park perhaps (a fountain in the middle, etc)
otherwise, nice work

outstanding video. really nice job. If there are tanks in this map it's going to be an amazing fight.

Wow mate, that looks very sweet, hooray for urban maps as I said before.
I would suggest just like G.Drew that you have maybe just a little more cars in the streets, only on some streets not all, but like G.Drew said have like lines of cars down some streets, maybe even have some streets that you can't get down because they are totally blocked with cars. Just a suggestion that you can take or leave.
Would be cool to see a convoy of Humvee's cruising through the city with IED's going off and putting an APC or two would make things very interesting trying to navigate through those tight streets.
But yeah looks great, keep up the good work.
