Two reasons insurgents need to get to a cache are weapon and ammo. Dont worry, you can get ammo and weapons from other caches that arent behind destructibles and spawn points. There will also be a Warlord Palace that will be the main stronghold for the insurgency and have plenty of PKM's, RPG, Anti Air SL7 and Sniper Rifles.

God I would love an attack chopper in an urban enviroment would call for so many new tactics.

The map is gonna be about 70% urban with a shitload of rooftops and alot of roadways, so advantage insurgency....IED's, RPG's and Snipers. As of now, i am definately gonna use 1 Blackhawk for transport and also APC's and Jeeps. IMO, there needs to be 1 Apache as well for protection and patrol against IED,RPG and transport vehicles. I am gonna place all Insurgency vehicles in warehouse to protect them from getting blasted from above as well.... So basicly the Apache may or may not be in the map....

Well, i hope you implant the apache. Apaches will rock on city maps!!

just make sure there are a TON of RPG's everywhere. That's one thing i dont like about Basrah, is the lack of RPG's in the battlefield.

Don't stack these destructable crates, cos if the lower ones get destroyed first the ones above will be left floating ;)

ts going to be interesting how the insurgents are going to rearm if the cache is hidden away in there, it could mean that they blow up all the obstacles which just leaves one guy to come along and blow it up

Thanks, I removed the stacked crates and replaced them with destructible fence.

Yes G.Drew, It will deffinately add a new strategy I think when it gets down to a few caches that are behind destructibles....

My opinio, look at this picture:

The street needs sidepaths and take care to not do a street, road, whatever, finish in nowhere or a wall, it makes the city looks strange.

There will only be one dead end street when I am finished with this part of city. There are quite a few dead end streets and side roads in Iraq that end abruptly and has been a major problem with convoys and insurgents have always taken advantage of this. It may look weird, but all neighborhoods look weird and war torn in Iraq. I am trying as much as possible to simulate the randomness of Iraqi streets and neighborhoods and not the typical square or block cities. Don't wory bro, there are gona be plenty of sidestreets etc..... Also trying to make neighborhood streets wide enough for jeeps and apcs to steer clear of ieds if one is spotted and for max speed through the streets to avoid RPG's...
